🎯 How can AI catalyze the transition to low-emission energy systems? 🛫 How can AI become a co-pilot in the control room of the future through automated decision-making? Last month, we organized a week-long workshop, hosted by the International Centre for Mathematical Sciences (ICMS), to scope the potential of AI to address some of the key research questions identified by the Global Power System Transformation Consortium related to operating and planning for low-emission energy systems. This workshop brought together system operators from seven countries, university researchers, national laboratories, and industry stakeholders, and outlined four key areas where AI can become a catalyst.
