Presentation on #dynamictariffs and #smartcharging at Groupe E by Peter Cuony at Electrosuisse event:
The progress and the recent findings in AISOP, funded through the ERA-Net Smart Energy Systems, financed by the Swiss Federal Office of Energy SFOE, and co-led by Research Center for Energy Networks (FEN), ETH Zürich and the HSLU - Digital Energy and Electric Power (DEEP), were presented at CIRED 2024 Workshop in Vienna on June 20th. This year's theme at the workshop was "Increasing Distribution Network Hosting Capacity". The AISOP paper titled "A framework for data-driven decision support for operational planning in active distribution networks", presented as a poster by Dr. Braulio Barahona from HSLU - Digital Energy and Electric Power (DEEP). This paper describes a framework envisioned to be part of #operationalplanning to help #DSOs securely operate the grid. The main two components of the framework are * workflows for grid situational awareness, and * dynamic tariffs for implicit control of demand and distributed generation. #digitaltwins and #IoT technologies are leveraged to compose a #modularframework to execute specific workflows aimed at increasing the #gridobservability and to analyse the impact of #dynamictariffs on alleviating #gridviolations. #Dataanalytics and #gridmodelling are applied to assimilate data, detect anomalies either due to incipient grid faults or demand and generation irregularities, calculate power flows, estimate the risk of grid violations such as cable overloading, and aid the design of effective grid tariffs. In addition to presenting the concept of the AISOP project, the #digitalprocesstwin framework, progress on #anomalydetection and #powerflowforecasting is presented, and an outlook on implementation aspects is given.
