Similarly structured programs have been highly successful in leading startup ecosystems of Israel and Singapore. Investible are proud to bring the unique approach to Australia, spearheaded by Charlie Ill and Ben Lindsay, alongside the superb team at TRaCE led by Gabriella Nunes. Our first co-investment was announced earlier this year, into DeCarice, a company accelerating the clean fuel transition by commercialising deep combustion research. Goran Bozic and Shawn Kook are already leveraging the combined infrastructure of our two organisations to achieve their ambitious goals. On stage were companies working all around the climate tech sector. From harnessing the power of ocean waves, over cultivating protein-rich algae, to temperature control of vaccine storage. Last week we announced our 2.3M EUR seed round and are overwhelmed and grateful by the response and kind words 🤩 As researchers, founders Markus Löschenbrand and Simon Risanger noticed that the increased uncertainty, complexity, and speed in power systems caused by the energy transition required new tools for analytics. We took a leap into the unknown and decided to be the ones who could make state-of-the-art research quickly accessible and user-friendly for everyone who faces these challenges. A defining trait of Versiro is to combine scientific rigor with startup speed. In a bit over two years, several of the largest power producers in Norway use our software daily and we are preparing to expand international. This brings Versiro to a new chapter where we are incredibly pleased to get Jørgen Kildahl as our new chairman and have Arne Tonning and Alliance VC lead our seed, with participation from Sondo Capital, former E.ON CEO Johannes Teyssen, Fortress Fund, Hans Geelmuyden, Draum founder Dag-Inge Aas, Superside founder Fredrik Thomassen, and Enode founders Henrik Langeland and Nikolai Heum, among others. 🚀🔋 Meeting with INSEAD Alum Peter Nicholson: Insights on the Hydrogen Innovations!**   Recently, the EcoQuokkas met with Peter Nicholson, INSEAD Alum and Non-Executive Chair of Vytas, a cutting-edge hydrogen startup. Huge thanks to Peter for his time and invaluable insights!   Here are three key learnings from our conversation:   1. 🌟 Western Australia is emerging as a center of excellence and a talent hub for mining and natural resource startups. 2. 💸 Access to Capital remains a significant challenge for innovative green startups, highlighting the need for better funding pathways 3. 💡 Innovations in Hydrogen: Significant investments are being made in the (green) hydrogen economy. However, awareness about other types, like white hydrogen and on-demand hydrogen, needs to be increased among all stakeholders. Grateful for the insights, Peter!
