iCode is a versatile research tool that can be utilized across various fields such as #marketing, #humanresources, #politics, #psychology, and #publicopinion studies. Recently, we partnered with the Central European Institute to conduct a research project focusing on public opinion in the Three Seas countries (Austria, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary, Lithuania, Latvia, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia) regarding Russia and the war in Ukraine. Using the combination of CAWI method and iCode methodology, we delved into obtaining profound insights into respondents' genuine attitudes, rather than just their stated opinions, which represents an innovative approach to public opinion research. Traditional research methods often lead respondents to provide socially acceptable answers, rather than expressing their true thoughts and feelings. As a result, the predicted behaviors based on stated opinions often diverge from respondents' actual actions, influenced by their concealed beliefs. This data allows us to better understand the feedback loop between public opinion and the internal and international policies pursued by political decision-makers in the 12 Three Seas countries at that time. The study was conducted from July 1st to July 13th, 2023, with a sample of 13,000 respondents, and panels from 12 countries were sourced from Cint, ensuring the quality of the sample. 🤔 If you're interested in learning more about the detailed research findings and how iCode enriched the obtained data, please feel free to reach out to us. We'd be delighted to share more with you. #Research #PublicOpinion #iCode

“It’s too hard to find anyone in academia to work with”, “why doesn’t industry reach out to collaborate” and “who should I speak to” are such common questions around research translation and commercialisation at the nexus of academia and industry. If only we had a database to search… …. Your praised have been answered it seems. Congratulations Australian Research Data Commons (ARDC) for the recent launch of Research Link Australia (RLA), a fantastic initiative funded by #NCRIS and co-designed with research community groups, government bodies, key data agencies, research-industry facilitators and businesses. "...The RLA service introduces a platform to facilitate seamless information sharing and collaboration. It provides a robust infrastructure for researchers, government and industry stakeholders to connect and thereby drive innovation. Information is derived from a number of open sources and RLA is continuing to work with providers to improve coverage and quality..." https://lnkd.in/gxGH32c2 #researchtranslation #commercialisation #innovation Source image: Austin Distel via unsplashed

Important new reports from International Panel on the Information Environment (IPIE). Encourage everyone interested in information integrity to download and read! More research is needed for sure. #ipie #informationintegrity
⭐ New IPIE Reports ⭐ The IPIE has been busy this month publishing two new technical reports, which were submitted to the OECD and European Commission in response to upcoming policy guidance related to information integrity and researcher access to data. These submissions emphasize the critical need for transparency and independent research on digital platforms. Among the recommendations is a call for platforms to conduct and publish research using established scientific methods, while also ensuring equitable access for researchers. The IPIE also advocates for greater transparency regarding algorithmic recommendation systems and content moderation processes, as well as stronger protections against disinformation spread by bots and inauthentic accounts. We encourage you to read these short reports: 📘IPIE Submission to the OECD - https://lnkd.in/euCrEXKb 📗IPIE Submission to the European Commission - https://lnkd.in/ezjJhjbG #IPIE #OECD #EuropeanCommission #DigitalServicesAct #InformationIntegrity

In my view, we European researchers should start adding 'European Union' to our affiliation when we sign a paper as an author, just after our country. This could help to make more visible the impact that EU-based research has. I have created the tag #AddEU to promote this idea @ec.europa.eu
