🌍Introducing the #DrasticProject’s five Demonstrators 🌍 Drastic aims to transform the built environment with five innovative ‘Demonstrators’ across Europe. These demonstrators plan to highlight solutions to reduce whole-life carbon and the climate impact of construction while enhancing circularity within the built environment. Each Demonstrator will target the different layers of buildings, aiming to reduce operational and embodied carbon emissions and to promote material reclamation and reuse. First hydrogen car developed by students in Portugal

🚗💨 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝘂𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝘀𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗴𝗼𝘁 𝗯𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗮𝘁 Instituto Superior Técnico! "The car will work." 🗣️ This powerful statement echoed through Técnico’s Great Hall on March 28th, marking a historic moment as students unveiled their hydrogen-powered car prototype developed by TFC - Técnico Fuel Cell. This innovative vehicle, weighing 130kg and sporting a sleek design inspired by a drop of water, features PEM fuel cell technology. 🚀 By harnessing the power of #hydrogen, it promises clean, sustainable energy for its #electric motor, leaving behind nothing but pure water as waste. ♻️ Austria as frontrunner in “closing the cycle” ♻️     With more than 25 test labs Austria boasts an ecosystem density in circular economy that is probably unique in Europe. This is shown in the  “Circularity Labs Austria” map, created by the Green Tech Valley in cooperation with the Federal Ministry for Climate Action - Bundesministerium für Klimaschutz, Umwelt, Energie, Mobilität, Innovation & Technologie, and the University of Leoben (MUL), one of Europe’s leading “recycling universities”. How #waste2value works is being tried and tested in over 25 industry-scale labs along 8 material flows. Excited to share the energy and insights from the official launch of Brightlands Circular Space in Sittard-Geleen! In this opening program, Marc Spekreijse had the opportunity to lead one of the opening interviews. Supported by the Nationaal Groeifonds this initiative will help bright minds and entrepreneurs leverage the open infrastructure. The new facilities are designed to host parties who are able to increase the quantity and improve the quality of circular plastics by upscaling technologies and is provided by Brightlands Chemelot Campus , TNO and Universiteit Maastricht. As Lia Voermans of BCS, highlighted: "This is only the first stage. Our mission goes beyond recycling tech, it’s about transforming ecosystems, building new business models, and shifting consumer and industry behavior. The momentum we created today is only the beginning."
