Has Business Transformation Become Obsolete? How does this impact IT Transformation? ◾ Darwin wrote of species adaptability, which is by nature evolutionary, not spasmodic, and in harmony with the broader ecosystem. It’s not resiliency. It’s regeneration. ◾ When we work with regenerative leaders, our goal is progress toward a long-term vision, not making knee-jerk tweaks. ◾ The most successful transformations create intentional change one step at a time. ◾ Prioritize the most important changes first. Start by rewiring the most critical processes. ◾ The future is full of changes, challenges, and surprises. We cannot plan or de-risk them all. The only way forward? Embrace uncertainty, find positive change from the triggers, and stay flexible and excited about driving evolutionary, more lasting change. https://lnkd.in/eGXPuHKm

Flipping your point of view to work backward from a potential future often surfaces a whole lot of options that are hard to find when you're just looking at the next step in front of you... nice article on regenerative transformation!
It may be difficult and even exhausting, but it’s still true. We see that business and community are inextricably connected. We need to unlock and unleash the people energy from all our colleagues, our shareholders, and the broader society to effect lasting change, given this interdependency. Courageous leaders will reexamine and rethink their approaches and ask the right questions to change for the better. My Kearney colleagues, including co-author Abby Klanecky, are proud to work shoulder-to-shoulder with our clients to #regenerate a future that works for everyone. Love the Darwinian (or Dr Who? 😉) metaphor in this article that businesses should focus on regeneration, not transformation in this volatile, uncertain, complex and ambiguous modern world. I’d add that in my experience, businesses need to think bigger as most transformation is really just the activity required to keep their ticket to play, rather than win (think: meeting risk and regulatory requirements, digitisation and system upgrades). And finally, it’s all moot without a workforce and their leaders being equipped with relevant mindsets and behaviours to make it all happen. That’s where my exciting research collaboration with University of Technology Sydney comes in. We are building and refining a body of evidence to develop new, contemporary and effective ways to build these capabilities in organisations. This work is already packing quite a punch and making an impact with our participants, their teams and their business results. Look forward to continuing the exploration and sharing what we’re learning throughout the year. #leadership #innovation #creativity #sustainability #transformation #change

✨ Rethinking Business Transformation: Embracing the Era of Regenerative Organizations ✨ 📌 Encountering the headline "Has business transformation become obsolete?" in a recent HBR article prompted me to pause and contemplate its implications. I've often heard colleagues lamenting about being amidst yet another major transformation when discussing their roles. Intrigued, I delved into the article to grasp its essence: Business transformation has evolved from a singular, one-off endeavor to an ongoing process requiring a fresh approach. In essence, leaders must embrace the concept of regenerative organizations. 🌍 So, what exactly is a regenerative organization? Much like the natural world, it embodies a holistic perspective that intertwines modern business operations and performance with the broader ecosystems of people, places, and organizations within its sphere of influence. 💪 But how does one cultivate such an organizational ethos? It begins with fostering a culture inhabited by individuals possessing a can-do attitude—one that thrives on uncertainty, seeks opportunities for positive change, and takes proactive steps to facilitate evolutionary transformations across the entire company. 🎯 In essence, the era of business transformation as a one-time event is behind us. Today, it's about nurturing regenerative organizations that continuously adapt, evolve, and thrive within the dynamic landscape of modern business. Are you ready to embrace this paradigm shift? #BusinessTransformation #RegenerativeOrganizations #Leadership #Innovation https://lnkd.in/dvRSKNNM
