Empowerment begins with a simple yet profound act of making a choice. For countless individuals, the ability to choose a contraceptive method that fits their needs is life-changing. It’s not just about planning a family, it’s about creating a future on your own terms. Contraceptives offer more than health benefits, they offer freedom. It’s about having control over your body, your decisions, and your goals. This World Contraception Day, we celebrate the power of choice. By embracing the range of contraceptive options available, you hold the key to your future. The power is in your hands. #AdvancedFPinPharmacy #WorldContraceptionDay #WCD2024 #JipendeJipange Ministry of Health, Kenya MOH - Division of Reproductive and Maternal Health Reproductive Health Network Kenya

On #WorldContraceptionDay, it is important to address the unmet contraceptive needs of women and girls aged 15 to 49. Countries such as Samoa (28%), Angola (27%), and Liberia (25%) are among the top 10 nations with the highest unmet need for contraception. With seven out of the top 10 countries located in Africa, this highlights the critical need for improved reproductive health services and education across the continent. Globally, 9% of women and girls still have unmet contraceptive needs. #ReproductiveHealth #WorldContraceptionDay #Healthcare #FamilyPlanning #DataAnalysis #Africa

Did you know that access to the right data at the right time determines how countries estimate family planning needs? Without appropriate tools, platforms, and networks to make the right decisions at the right time, millions of people who need contraceptives will be left behind. Take Leticia, for example; a shortage of her preferred method of contraception led to consequences that could have been avoided. This is why USAID and GHSC-PSM, in partnership with the Reproductive Health Supplies Coalition, are working with the Ghana Health Service to transform contraceptive supply chain management in #Ghana using the Global Family Planning Visibility and Analytics Network (VAN). Read Leticia’s story to learn why countries, donors, and supply chain partners must work together to make contraceptives available for all: https://lnkd.in/dAzffH5c #LeaveNoWomanBehind #SupplyChainManagement #FamilyPlanning #ReproductiveHealth #DataVisibility

Happy World Contraception Day A Choice for All: Freedom to Plan, Power to Choose. At ARFH, we are advancing women's health and autonomy through the Community-Oriented DMPA-SC Self-Injection Acceleration in Nigeria (CODSAiN) project, supported by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. By expanding access to family planning services including DMPA-SC self-injection, we’re giving women the freedom to manage their reproductive health with greater privacy, convenience, and control. This innovation is aligned with the government’s Sector-Wide Approach (SWAp) initiative, ensuring coordinated and integrated health services. ARFH, through the CODSAiN project, is proud to support this vision, working towards a future where self-care options like DMPA-SC Self Injection help women across Nigeria make informed choices about their contraception while reducing unmet family planning needs. Our efforts contribute to increasing the modern Contraceptive Prevalence Rate (mCPR) nationwide. Additionally, don't miss the opportunity to engage in important conversations about reproductive health at the National Family Planning Conference 2024.
