In today's competitive tech landscape, standing out to potential employers involves more than just listing your previous job duties. It’s about how you communicate your #tech experience tell the tale of your journey. Here's how to effectively showcase why a company should bring you on board: -Utilize Gaggle's Skills Matrix: This tool enables candidates to efficiently showcase their skills, cutting down the time to advertise their abilities by up to 73% compared to other platforms. this makes it easier for employers to understand your potential impact before they read your resume or call your phone. (Featured in the video below) -Maximize Your Resume’s Real Estate: You want to make sure that you’re conveying how your effort and expertise has improved or impacted business processes. Don’t just list “experienced is CPQ”. Share what you did in CPQ and how it affected your team or the system positively and if applicable, use quantitative figures to add credibility to your claim. -Enhance Your Digital Presence: Start by polishing your LinkedIn & Gaggle Social: Tech Networking & Hiring profiles and linking them directly to your resume. Creating a cohesive online persona that reflects your professional achievements and skills makes it easier for hiring managers to see your potential impact. -Build A Portfolio: Whether you're an admin, developer, designer, or engineer a well-curated portfolio demonstrates your capabilities and the quality of your work. For those in the Salesforce ecosystem, consider applying to participate in Jodi Hrbek's The DemoOrg DemoJam to further highlight your expertise and have a tangible video that walks hiring teams through your critical thinking capabilities and technical skills. By focusing on the impact of your work, adding quantifiable metrics, offering transparency and leveraging the right tools, you position yourself as a valuable asset to any team. Remember, it's about articulating not just what you've done, but how what you've done translates into benefits for your future employer. #saleforce #techjobs #techhiring #salesforcejobs

Had a great time last night at the New York Salesforce User Group! Thank you, Drew Tauber and West Monroe, for having Amy Corbo and I A few takeaways from the night: ▪ The Salesforce employment market has shifted from more of a candidate-driven market to an employer-driven one, which has led to more competition for opportunities. How do we navigate that? There's no one-size-fits-all answer, unfortunately. ▪ Soft skills are just as important as your Salesforce or technical skills. If you can't articulate and present the problems you've solved, it'll be difficult to interview, and you may fall short. ▪ Right or wrong, hybrid and on-site work is back and here to stay. If you're happy to work from an office, you'll have an advantage. ▪ Given the competition in the market, it's important to be intentional about what you're applying for. Think about the things important to you, narrow down your search, and go all-in. Apply, Connect with employees on LinkedIn, and write an authentic cover letter! ▪ Finding a 'niche' can help you stand out, whether it's an industry or specific cloud, Find your thing! #Salesforce #SalesforceHiring #TechHiring #SalesforceNewYork

In the #recruitment and #talentacquisition world, August is usually one of the quieter periods with hiring managers on holidays, and clients holding off signatures until the Autumn. I like to use this time well and think forwards without the time pressures my role can so often be put against. Therefore I am keen to speak to my #salesforce network if you are thinking of a change of role over the next couple of quarters, some career advice and pathways, or anything related to the #salesforcetalentalliance. No hard sell (I try not to come across like this anyway!), just a good old-fashioned conversation about the current market and your career aspirations/choices. Drop me a message and we can get something arranged 😊.

Ever been to Dreamforce? Ever had Dreamforce come to you? I had the honor of presenting with Salesforce at one of their “big bet” enterprise customers in a Dreamforce To You session. The topic? Salesforce for Recruiting This picture is of our audience today. At the beginning I asked “How many of you have ever heard of Salesforce and Recruiting in the same breath?” Not a single hand was raised. 🤦♂️ So I facilitated a conversation with the customer where I listened to what their recruiting process is like today. It takes them 15 different apps to recruit one candidate. FIFTEEN! Guess how long it takes them to get a new req approved? TWO MONTHS! Two months before they even start recruiting for a new role. I couldn’t believe what I was hearing. They are already using Salesforce in other parts of their business. There is a GIGANTIC opportunity for them to use a single tool they already own to consolidate and automate a different part of their business. But they had no idea it could do that. At the end of the session I asked: “Now that we’ve chatted, how many here think that Salesforce could have a positive impact on your recruiting process?” Every hand went up. THAT’S what I’m talking about!!! I’m on a mission to help more companies realize what they are missing out on by not using Salesforce + Asymbl in their recruiting process. Please share this message with your network so more companies don’t have to live with this kind of HR process pain. Huge thank you to the Salesforce team for trusting me to have that conversation. Let’s do more!
