I count so you don't have to! Award Winning 🏆2024 Bookkeeping Champion 🏆 Director | Bookkeeper 📊 ICB Small Practice Finalist 📊Chair ICB Advisory Council |Cambridge Branch💺 Kirsty's Counting 🏆

The last few weeks have been a whirlwind but I am still up on cloud a million after winning my LUCA for Small Practice from ICB UK (Institute of Certified Bookkeepers) However, it's been busy catching up on client year ends, in addition to the usual VAT and CIS. I have a charity year-end that has some specialist member reporting so my excel skills are needed. I also did a big 23-24 catch-up for a client that wasn't on software -> NOT ANY MORE! Well, they were for sales only, didn't care about the rest?! Looking back at the Summit and the LUCA it was really reassuring to find that I am using the best software #awardwinning Apron does a great job of handling paperwork IN and payments OUT (ongoing developments and I like working with them - there is 1 field I really want to make VAT checking better) Xenon Connect for error checking and health scores (don't ask 🤦♀️ but really good for showing clients where they are going wrong if they are let loose) Engager.app keeps all my deadlines and signatures flowing. I've got it working with my sister and can see when she has done some tasks meaning I can do the next bit In my practice, I use both Xero and Intuit QuickBooks, but I'd like to call myself a #quickbooksqueen if that's not too bold. I'm there on Thursday and I have a list of queries to 'discuss' (including the thing I want for Apron) I have been looking at some new bits of software - so hit me with your recommendations if you think I am missing something. #platespinning #cpd #bemorebookkeeper #bakingbookkeeper - haven't done any for a while as the trouble is I have to eat it - maybe tonight in honour of #BakeOffFinal
