Among the 50 worldwide projects selected by the #VoithCares program, four are located in Brazil One of these projects, the Instituto Pra Quem Precisa [Institute for Those in Need], has been chosen to receive financial support from the program. Operating in the city of São Paulo, the institute provides assistance and human development initiatives for squatters and homeless people. Its activities include tutoring classes and vocational training courses for underprivileged children and youth. The funds donated by the #VoithCares program will enable the Instituto Pra Quem Precisa to repair the truck used to donate food and other necessities to the homeless people they assist. This support will allow them to maintain an activity that has a significant impact on the lives of vulnerable youth and families. As part of the #VoithCares program, Voith and the Hanns Voith Foundation annually provide financial support to selected social projects and non-profit organizations appointed by its employees worldwide. Organisations like ours (Aspire NI) rely on the kindness & generosity of individuals and businesses to help fund and continue our work. But opportunities like this, where community funding is available, helps inject some much needed funds to grow the work we do. As it stands, we work in 29 schools across Northern Ireland, with over 350 young people each week. Our next goal is to work with over 1000 young people every week. To do this, we need to hire more in-school session facilitators. To do that, we need more cash available. Funds like this help us move closer to that goal. Would you consider nominating Aspire for the AIB Community fund? It takes 2 mins to complete the nomination.
We would love if you take 2-3 mins to nominate us for the AIB community fund. Nominations close 12th of June so we are into the last couple of weeks of nominations. Simply copy the following link into your browser - https://lnkd.in/eNNsfi2W and Use our name and Charity number referenced in the graphic on this post. Help us out in raising valuable funds for the work of Aspire in schools across Northern Ireland.

#uwezoaward2023Winners HANANASIF SECONDARY SCHOOL (KINONDONI MUNICIPAL, DAR ES SALAAM) COMMUNITY CHANGE PROJECT; PEACE OF MIND "We named our Community Change Project PEACE OF MIND because we wanted to have a society with sustainable development and which embraces peace. We believe that peace brings light of development in our brains. A brain with light has peace of mind. The project started with fundraising by making Hana charcoal (paper charcoal) and also making Hananasif students' Identity Cards. We organized students to attend Bonanza and also organised a competition with Tambaza Secondary School. Through these projects, we were able to get TZS 280,000. Since we had funds we were able to do community services by using the funds we had collected. These projects included buying and giving out sanitary pads to about 500 girls, visiting the Maunga Orphanage Center, buying and giving mattresses to the Hananasif secondary school administration, cleaning toilets, repairing furniture of the classrooms and also organizing students' work competitions. In all these activities we used TZS 210,300. We also organized a blood donation, a dusters-making project, as well as a road safety project which did not cost us any money. Despite of some challenges faced in our club during the overall process of implementing the Peace of Mind project, most of what we had wished went as we had planned. We were able to accomplish many things we had arranged. One of the challenges we faced, was some weak/poor participation from members. In the whole of our Community Change Project we raised TZS 280,000 and the amount we used was TZS 210,300. The remaining money was used as transport during the UWEZO BONANZA screening and we have planned to use the other money remaining for our Chain Community Change Project next year. #uwezoprogram #uwezoaward #uwezokinara #uwezoclub #chukuahatuaoneshauwezo #youths #education #talents #creativity

Educhange's "One at a Time: Re-Building School Systems" is here to address the #gapinlearning The National Achievement Survey 2017 which was conducted for grades 3, 5 and 8. The results showed that only 45.2 per cent of students were able to achieve the targeted performance levels across all subjects and classes at the national level. This condition is alarming and only gotten worse after the COVID19 pandemic in 2020! Will you help us by supporting us in our journey of re-building the "Dumdum Sarvodaya Balika Vidyapith" school model? Please Donate and Spread the Word. Attended Department of Education PNG
2dI commend KTF has involved in numerous activities in support of under privileged population of this country. The educational support through Kokoda College is one among the many. I am one among the many individuals who got support from KTF and as such desire to support KTF in its program activities through education. Personally, I retired as curriculum officer with the Education Department with vast experiences in teaching in Primary Schools and Inclusive Education Schools including Teachers College. I quit my employment under Early Retirement category but still have the merits and energy to teach at Kokoda College if any teaching positions become available. I can be contacted on mobile numbers 74983878 or 72555650. Thank you
