Do We Really Need Entrance Exams like NEET, JEE, CAT, NET, etc. in India? In India, we use old ways from other countries to see if students are good for certain courses. This makes parents and students run a race no one really wins. Our school system has some problems that make things unfair. Also, politics make schools want all students to pass. NTA. Well this is the body who is supposed to decide future of students and as such future of the country. Anyway we are talking of India here. NTA = National Testing Agency Recently conducted NEET 24 where 24 lakh (2400 thousand). -Results published 10 days before the stated date. -Guinness record created having 67 students securing 720 out 720 marks.( Ain't sure but must have approached for nomination) - Ranks swelled to move more than double over previous years - Grace marks( well it's a classroom exam) awarded arbitrarily. as high as 90+ marks - Now states only issue with 1600 students and 6 centres( In total nos of centres is 4750) when questioned by Media and some Political parties In reality huge mess. Number of students with grace marks should be exceeding 60K + Government yet no word on this. Students have no alternate but to approach High Courts and Supreme Court. With faith students after exhaustive studies of 2 years answer this exam however the seriousness is now doubtful of this exam given this fiasco - -
