Looking to boost your child's wellbeing? New research shows that reducing screen time drastically can improve your child's mental wellbeing in just two weeks. The constant stream of digital entertainment is time-consuming and energy-draining, especially for kids who need active engagement. A study from the University of Southern Denmark found that cutting screen time to three hours a week leads to rapid improvements in children’s behavior, making them more emotionally stable and socially adept. By setting boundaries and encouraging outdoor play and other activities, parents can help their children burn off energy in healthier ways and foster better peer relationships. Embrace moderation and watch your child thrive with reduced screen time! www.idtherapy.ro #IdTherapy #ChildWellbeing #ReduceScreenTime #HealthyKids #ParentingTips #MentalWellbeing #ActiveKids #OutdoorPlay #HealthyHabits #ScreenTimeLimits #ParentingAdvice #ChildDevelopment #HealthyBoundaries #ThrivingKids #EmotionalStability #SocialSkills #ActiveEngagement #HealthyParenting #FamilyHealth #ParentingHacks

Parents of children with Down syndrome often struggle to find enough support systems to address their unique needs. Existing Parenting Support Systems lack effectiveness, exacerbating the challenges faced by these parents and hindering their ability to meet their child's needs while maintaining their own mental well-being. Understanding these challenges is crucial, as it impacts the confidence and capability of parents in managing their child's care and their own mental health. This project aims to develop a parenting assistance platform to meet the needs of parents of children with Down syndrome. Through collaborative design processes and community engagement, will gather insights to inform the platform's features and functionality, providing support, learning resources, and fostering a sense of community among parents navigating this journey effectively . 🌟 To all my fellow educators, mental health clinicians, and child advocates 🌟 I’m in the early stages of launching my practice, Solutions Therapy and Wellness ✨ 🫧 ⛅️ . This practice will provide therapeutic services for children and young adults, both individually and in group settings. I will offer these services alongside my right hand Tammy Pham 💕. We're also diving into consulting for special education advocacy—because we *all* know how difficult that can be to navigate for families and students alike. As I get things up and running, I’ve been thinking a lot about how we can support each other in this work. Being a therapist is amazing, but let’s be real—it’s not always easy, and we don’t have all the answers. I’d love to start a shared blog where we can share our real experiences, talk about the ups and downs, and showcase the unique ways we each approach our practice. I’m not looking to sell anything or make this a big deal—just trying to build a little corner of the internet where we can connect, be honest, and maybe even laugh at ourselves a bit. If you’re interested in sharing your story, your expertise, or just being part of a community that gets it, I’d love to chat more. ✨ No pressure, no strings—just a genuine invitation to connect and see where this goes. Let me know if you’re in! 😊 #DontBeDelulu #FindTheSolulu ✨ 🫧 ⛅️ #Therapy #MentalHealth #EndTheStigma #Mindfulness #SocialWorkersMatter #SpecialEducation #YouthAdvocate #ChildTherapy #SelfCare #WomenInMentalHealth

Half of all adult mental health challenges in Australia take root before the age of 14, yet more than half of children struggling with mental ill-health aren't receiving the professional help they need. This highlights an urgent need to rethink how we support young people. Social prescribing offers a fresh, community-focused solution to nurture the well-being of our youth. Grounded in the idea that 'it takes a village to raise a child,' social prescribing connects young people with enriching activities in their community, such as sports, arts, social groups, or nature-based programs. These connections are more than just fun—they can significantly boost mental and physical health, build social skills, and nurture confidence and self-esteem. By helping young people access these resources, we not only support their individual growth but also strengthen the bonds within our communities. It’s a powerful reminder that raising happy, healthy children is a shared responsibility, and a connected community is the foundation for their success. #socialprescribing #mentalhealth #worldchildrensday #worldchildrensday2024 #support #inclusion
