I’m so grateful LEVATA Human Performance is a sponsor of Rocky Mountain People + Strategy Group and we get to attend such great events!
A few of our colleagues recently attended the thought-provoking Rocky Mountain People + Strategy Group event, Equipping Today’s Talent for Tomorrow, led by Donald Knight, Group SVP, People & Culture at Warner Bros. Discovery. While he provided many valuable take-aways, here are a few that we’ve continued to talk about: 1️⃣ Align People and Financial Strategies. When creating your People Strategy, align it to the overall business strategy with KPIs that are lock step with your organization’s financial view. It seems obvious, right? Maybe, but currently there are no standard KPIs that pull these two crucial components together. Donald is currently partnering with Northwestern University on 22 KPIs that will build this bridge. We can’t wait to see them! 2️⃣ Your People Strategy should consider the multiple generations currently in the workforce. How do employers drive engagement and fulfillment with four generations of workers in the workplace together - all coming from different places, with different experiences and life perspectives? 🌟 Champion diversity of thought 💻 Invest in digital tools 📚 Promote lifelong learning 🏆 Foster leadership development 3️⃣ Recalibrate the role of HR as the guide, not the police - like the wisdom of Rafizi in The Lion King or Yoda in Star Wars! We see this as an opportunity for HR Leaders and Consultants to guide and partner with talent to prepare them for the future, balancing when they need direct feedback versus the right amount of information to help them chart their own course. At LEVATA Human Performance these best practices are top of mind as we partner with our clients on engagements including HR and talent strategy, change management, creating leadership development programs, individual coaching, and our other service offerings. We come alongside them, meet them where they are, and partner on strategies and solutions for the future. 💬 What do you think is important for your organization or industry when preparing today’s talent for the future? #PeopleStrategy #HRLeadership #WorkplaceCulture #FutureOfWork #WorkforceStrategy
