Last week, Anders L. Christensen represented resolvent in the two-day kick-off meetings in Milan, Italy, for the innovative #H2SHIFT project. As the team responsible for test-line #8, specializing in finite element and CFD modeling, reduced order modeling, and simulation-based test design, optimization, and upscaling, we look forward to a productive collaboration with our project partners and SMEs. The #H2SHIFT project offers us a great opportunity to deploy our expertise in creating customized simulation tools and digital twins, which are vital for optimizing and upscaling hydrogen production technologies. Our participation aims to enhance our services and provide innovative solutions that will drive significant advancements in the clean hydrogen sector. The Birmingham Blade, the world's first urban wind turbine designed by AI, has been unveiled in the UK. Jointly developed by AI design specialists EvoPhase and precision metal fabricators KwikFab, this innovative turbine is tailored to Birmingham's unique wind conditions. Using AI-driven design processes, EvoPhase tested over 2,000 designs, resulting in a turbine seven times more efficient than existing models. Leonard Nicusan, EvoPhase's CTO, emphasized the need for a compact, lightweight design suited for rooftop installations. The Birmingham Blade's final design, produced by KwikFab, will be tested on a Birmingham rooftop, with a market-ready version expected by late 2025. It's a wrap with our introduction series as here's the story of our last startup in our current Deeptech Batch - SonoPlasmaH2, a startup with innovative solutions for green #hydrogen production with low costs and high efficiency. 💚 To get to know more about them, we're asked some questions from the team, Parbo Juchnewitsch and Jevgeni Rogov. 💡 What inspired you to start this company? The cost of green hydrogen production with conventional electrolysis is too high and cannot compete with technologies that generate CO emissions. We have a new reliable ultrasonic-plasma technology to offer that requires 2x less electricity to produce a unit of H2. 🌿 How does your technology contribute to environmental sustainability?  We support the H2 environment with waste-free technology and our technology is environmentally friendly. The product produced using our technology allows for the replacement of traditional fossil fuels with alternative forms of renewable energy. 🤩 Team SonoPlasmaH2 thanks the mentors: We've had invaluable support in promoting the company provided by the entire Beamline team, led by Jana Budkovskaja. 👏 Our mentors Indrek Kelder, Ivo K. & Jana Budkovskaja have guided and helped us a lot and will hopefully continue to help us until the end of the project. They helped us to establish direct contacts and prepare investment presentations! 💯 How does your solution differ from existing alternatives in the market? The challenge of the hydrogen market is the cost of producing fuel hydrogen. Our technology has solved this problem by reducing production costs by half. We differ from the electrolysis offered on the market with another technological principle, which is based on the combined effect of #ultrasonic and #plasma on the liquid environment. In Parbo's & Jegveni's words, participation in the Beamline program has had a decisive impact on their company, without such help, they would have been much further behind. Being investor, board member, or c-level management we all need to spend much more time walking the floor of all areas of the business in which we are part of. Obtaining the true understanding of a business and how it operates is crucial in effectively guiding the direction for where the company can and should go. This approach is not only a good thing for the investor, but also the owners of the company. For that same reason we in PSV DeepTech see ourselves just as much as co-owners of a company rather than 'just' investors. We are very pleased to provide capital for sectors and company's that truly need the capital to develop much needed solutions, but we are also firm believers of active ownership.
