Always an #Aha moment as I pause and reflect on the sheer magnitude of what Unitaid does. I'm am proud to be part of a fantastic #board, which balances representation of board members from #lmic & #highincome countries. Unitaid is truly a pathfinder, influencer and an #equitable #access champion🏆. Working with other global health institutions, this slim organisation manages to also undertake market shaping, implementation studies, community engagement and #demand #creation at a country-level. We are looking at a future where #health and #climateadaptation & #resilience meet Regional production of #innovative and #green production of these therapeutics, including #monoclonal #antibodies for all #lmics. At current point, Africa only hold 1% of that maeket. Even with bourgeoning non-communicable diseases and localised #pandemics, the horizon is bright.🌞 Support this work in any way you can and we can look forward to this future where #syndemics are prepared for and efficiently addressed. But given that biological warfare knows no boarders, we also call on #African leaders start #financially contributing to #Agenda2063 through the African Medicines Agency (AMA). The time for #ODA is dead. An opportunity to innovate? ....watch this space🔥🔥🔥🔥 #innovationinhealth, #equitableaccess #diagnostics, #vaccines #localproduction #access2biologics
