CULTURE DESIGN: These six core principles provide valuable insights for anyone organizing toward solidarity economies. While designing a "Solidarity Skills" workshop for the BASE Fellowship, I used these principles as a foundation for material that incorporated Daniel Lim's Liberatory Culture framework and Fearless Culture's Culture Design Canvas. This session was an adaptation of a workshop I typically anchor in cooperative principles and values, but when working with groups not legally structured as cooperatives, I often find myself reframing those principles. In this case, I encouraged participants to assess their core values and translate them into organizational agreements, laying the groundwork for deeper culture-building efforts. #SolidarityEconomy #LiberatoryCulture #OrganizationalCulture #CooperativePrinciples #CultureDesign #BASEFellowship #TransformativeSolidarity

Wealth building is a key area of focus for the Latino Partnership Program of Oregon Community Foundation. How can Latino/x communities move beyond resilience and into a phase of community development where people can thrive? That was the central question of the two-day Conexiones summit that LPP organized recently in Lincoln City. The theme was Adelante (forward): Comunidad, Prosperidad, Poder (community, prosperity, power). As we mark Hispanic Heritage Month, we revisit responses we gathered to the questions, What does wealth look like? What does it feel like?
