Cricket's revenue growth stood at a robust 13% year-on-year, while sponsorship spends surged by 24%, contributing 47% to the industry's revenue. Endorsement revenues were close to hitting the INR 1000 crore mark, growing 24%. There was also a significant shift with a 40% increase in digital media spends. This year, the report's title shifted to "Sporting Nation Building a Legacy" to reflect the elevated status we now have as a sporting nation. Did you know 88% of core memories are created in August and September? That's not a real statistic, but it definitely FEELS accurate. Think back on your sporting career, regardless of the level you played at, and more likely than not you'll be thinking of those moments of agony and ecstasy we go through in the winter sporting finals. Me? I think about my footy club's 5+ losing grand finals. REALLY COOL! 🙃 But there are plenty more happy memories to drown those ones out. Last weekend we kicked off grand final season at Streamer with six deciders in the Essendon District Football League, another two in the Associated & Catholic Colleges of WA's netball programs and Perth RedStar Football Club clinching a third straight NPL Women's Premiership 🏆 This week there's another five grand finals out of AFL Cairns and the ACC soccer programs come to a head as well, plus Olympic Kingsway Sports Club have a chance to take out the men's NPL. It's such a massive time of year and so rewarding to be able to contribute in some way to milestone moments in so many people's lives. The National Rugby League and Red Bull have gone big on the eve of the Grand Final. To announce their new partnership as the official energy drink partner of the NRL and NRLW from 2025, Red Bull took Zac Lomax for an extreme aerobatic ride - The footage has been covered across the Nine network and news of the announcement is currently spreading online. To further celebrate the new partnership, Red Bull activated an awe-inspiring "Red Bull Gives You Wiiings" aerobatic display over Bondi Beach. The stunt coincided with the NRL’s Grand Final Week Beach Touch Football event, giving fans (and general spectators) on the sand an entertaining show. This new collaboration presents as a significant brand-building opportunity for both the NRL and Red Bull. Red Bull’s global presence, combined with its strong association with energy, extreme sports, and entertainment, aligns perfectly with the NRL's brand, which champions courage, fearlessness, and athleticism. The Netball Super League (NSL) has revealed further information regarding the U23 feeder League that was announced as part of the wider plans ahead of the 2025 season. Confirmed as the NXT Gen League, the competition has been developed to deliver extended opportunities for emerging talent, nurture and develop the next generation of world class players and provide a pipeline of talent for the NSL. Fixtures and squad line-ups as well as the new brand identity for the newly named NXT Gen League have been revealed today. Here are five things you need to know: ⚔️ The League will feature nine teams from Birmingham Panthers, LexisNexis Cardiff Dragons, London Mavericks, London Pulse Netball Super League Team, Manchester Thunder Netball, Loughborough Lightning, NIC Leeds Rhinos, Nottingham Forest and Team Bath Netball. 🤝 All teams have revealed their squads on social media today. Head to the individual Clubs’ social media channels to find out who will be taking to court! 📆 The League will begin in February 2025 and will see all nine teams play each other twice in a home and away format to find a national winner, with fixtures aligned to NSL matches where possible. 4️⃣  Eligibility for the competition is for athletes under 23 years, however squads can include up to four players over the age of 23 years to support and enhance the quality of the competition, whilst protecting opportunities for developing athletes. 🚀 Players registered within the NXT Gen League will be eligible, providing they meet the eligibility criteria, to act as a Temporary Replacement Player (TRP) for their Club’s NSL squad, in instances where one of the ten Registered NSL players are not available for selection due to Short Term Circumstances.
