One of my favorite things about being a professional traveler is that I get to revisit places and cities that I love often, especially if that special city is close to an airport. I found myself in Seattle this week for a very quick work trip—a place I called home for 10 formative years, and a city that ignited my passion for aviation and living life more deliberately, and cultivated my appreciation for passionate artisans who've mastered their craft. I had just enough time for business and a little wiggle room for a select foodie stop or two, and nothing more. So of course, I bee-lined it to a hidden gem that I knew would bring back the nostalgia floodgates, delight all of my senses, and deliver coffee perfection: enter Storyville ☕️. I'm not going to tell you where this one is, you'll just have to discover it serendipitously yourself, like I did many years ago 😏 It's amazing how a place or an experience can make you feel at home, even when you're across the country, or the world 🌎 The one thing that unites this feeling? I believe it's the intersection of positive nostalgia meets meticulous attention to detail. It's about crafting a compelling story where every element serves a purpose. ⚙️For engineers, it's the seamless functionality. 💡For entrepreneurs, it's solving a problem in a unique way. 🌟For leaders, it's shaping experiences that inspire and resonate. Together, these details turn moments into memories. Because the details matter. There are often so many touch points and so much thought that's designed into an experience or a place that moves you, whether that place is a coffee shop, or an airport, or a sports venue. What touchpoints are you crafting that will linger in someone's memory long after they've engaged with you, or your product or service? I think about this often, as a leader and change agent who is trying to create products and services and experiences that have this magnetic memory-making effect. It's powerful. Where or what in the world brings you as much joy as this cup of coffee did for me? Go after it! Smooth travels out there #RoadWarriors 🛫 #Innovation #CustomerExperience #BrandBuilding

If you travel for work, you know how challenging it can be to carry materials, samples, or client resources. But, who says business travel has to be boring? I love adding a bit of fun when sending #trainingresources ahead of my arrival. It creates anticipation and excitement for our scheduled #culture sessions. It's easy to do - a few fun stickers or motivational messages, some extra care, and a sprinkle of unique personality. My clients mean the world 🌏 to me. Without them, I wouldn't be able to live my best life doing what I love. #grateful What about you? How do you create excitement and fun for your customers/clients? Share your creativity with me, and let's celebrate your ideas! #letshavemorefun #clientexperiences #trainingtips #havingfunatwork

The First Impression That Changed Everything I’ll never forget the first time we visited a new church after moving. I walked in, unsure where to go. No one greeted me. I found a seat in the back and watched as others connected, laughed, and shared stories. But no one noticed us. I left that day feeling invisible—and we never went back. That experience shaped how I’ve approached hospitality in every role since. Whether it’s a church or a business, the first impression sets the tone for everything. Now, I help organizations create environments where no one feels invisible—where every guest knows they belong from the moment they arrive. If you’re ready to transform your guest experience into one that leaves a lasting impact, let’s connect.

On my way to a ladies golf retreat in Napa, and yep—I’m flying first class (not for the free drinks, because — sober). Years ago, a mentor gave me advice that changed the way I operate: “Always invest in proximity.” At first, I thought it was about having more legroom, but here’s the real truth—it’s about who you’re sitting next to. First class isn’t just a better seat; it’s where the conversations happen that can shift your perspective and challenge you to think bigger. Today, I’ve already met some fascinating people who’ve got me rethinking a few things (and we’re only mid-flight!). That’s the power of proximity—it’s not about luxury, it’s about leveling up your network. And while we’re at it, here’s a fun visual: think of it like flamingos. 🦩 They don’t just stand around looking fabulous (though they do). They gather together in their flocks, and when they do, they elevate the whole group. That’s what proximity does—it brings together people who make you stand taller and think bolder. So whether you’re in first class, coach, or chilling at your favorite coffee spot—put yourself in places that stretch you. It’s not about how fancy the seat is, it’s about who you’re sitting next to. Where are you flocking today? #ProximityIsEverything #FlockWithTheBest #LevelUp #BeyondTheBankAccount

All right! I left the Animation space for a while to revisit the Hospitality industry and I must say, I lot of things have not changed businesswise. Business owners in the hospitality industry need to do a whole lot better in running their businesses right. Since I have entered this industry in 2019, hardly will you see bussiness owners who don't jeopardise the survival of their bussinesses. They want to live the lifestyle of a succesful restauranteur and hotel owner. Spending hard, driving flashy cars, balling hard, all at the expense of their hosptality business. Some get consultants to help evaluate and expand their businesses, but they ignore the advice given to them by consultants since it might mean spending more on the company and less on themselves, or because they spotted someone in their close social circle who is not being honest with their positions in the business thereby following emotions than reason. Truth is, majority of these enterprises are nonexistent today. I could list a handful, but it will have to wait until another day as I have some trainees on Google Meet who are awaiting my inventory and store management hospitality class. #hospitality #Hotelsandrestaurants #hospitalityconsultaion

One of my key learnings when I worked with Marriott International, was the importance of creating an impactful first impression. We followed the 15/5 "rule" or rather, the experience was designed to honor our guests and associates by creating an environment where they felt acknowledged and valued. It was never a task, but a way in which we did business. It was so embedded into our culture, that creating a positive first impression is now a way of life. ✨ The Science of Seconds: Why First Impressions Matter in Business (and the 15/5 Rule) You have 15 seconds to make a positive first impression in the business world, according to psychologist Dr. Albert Mehrabian's 15/5/35 rule. That's right, in less than a quarter of a minute, someone forms an opinion about you and your brand. So, how can you ensure those initial 15 seconds leave a lasting positive impact? ✅ Look the part: Dress professionally and appropriately for the situation. You don't need to be overly formal, but neat and well-groomed attire shows respect and attention to detail. ✅ Mind your body language: Stand tall, make eye contact, and offer a firm handshake. Projecting confidence puts others at ease and makes you appear approachable. ✅ The power of a smile: A genuine smile is contagious and instantly disarming. It conveys warmth, friendliness, and approachability. ✅ First words matter: Craft an opening sentence or two that is clear, concise, and introduces yourself or your business in a positive light. ☑ For example, Good morning and welcome to (name of the business), my name is Camille, how may I be of service today? (This must come from a heart that is genuinely available to serve) ✔ Remember, first impressions are difficult to rewrite. By following the 15/5 rule and focusing on these key elements, you can ensure you're making a strong and lasting positive impact in those crucial first moments. Do you have any tips for making a great first impression? Share them in the comments! #FirstImpressions #BusinessEtiquette #The155Rule

It’s easy to get caught up in the excitement of reaching our end goal, focusing only on the destination, missing out on the moments that shape us along the way. One way to remind ourself to enjoy the process is to celebrate small wins and milestones, no matter how minor they may seem. Whether it’s making meaningful connections, learning a new skill, or overcoming a challenge, each step is an essential part of our growth. Try reframing setbacks as learning opportunities and moments of progress, rather than obstacles. When you pause to reflect on what you’ve learned and who you’ve become through the journey, you start to find joy in the process itself. After all, success isn’t just about the end result, it’s about the person we become along the way. ⬇️ A Penny or two for your thoughts, How can you remind yourself to enjoy the process rather than only focusing on the destination? **************************** Hi I’m Claire P, Love working with Sales Professionals, Planners & Teams.
