At this water point in Adamawa State, #Nigeria, Lele sits in the shade as the sounds of running water and laughter ring through the air.🚰 Neighbors come to fill canisters, chat, and foster connections—but this hasn’t always been the case. This community was once the site of a fierce conflict between farmers and herders over dwindling access to clean water. Herders needed to keep their animals hydrated. Farmers feared that livestock would damage their crops and contaminate their drinking water. Years of mounting tension turned into the devastating loss of belongings, homes, relationships, and lives. Everything changed, however, when our team installed a water point in the community and offered mediation training to local leaders. Through community-led collaboration, “my kids are now healthier than before,” Lele told us. “And the people of this community are happy. They are no longer sad or living without hope.” ♥️ #WaterisLife
