This is a very important step and I encourage you to make the time to do it. Visiting your potential designation is a way to see all the places that you saw in your research. Maybe there is a restaurant that you saw on social media, go there and check it out. Stay in a hotel in your city, go to the grocery store, walk around a few potential neighborhoods. This will give you an idea of the type of people that reside in your potential city. When I moved from St Louis back to Chicago, we went to the Library when we visited. This was one of our favorite places to go to on a regular basis. What are some places you would check out on your visit? Share in the comments. #TravelPlanning #CityTour #Exploration #LifeCoach

Why is everyone moving to Charlotte, NC?! ⬇️ Job opportunities, mild weather, diverse topography, and relative affordability have made North Carolina #4 on Forbes’ list of top 10 states people are moving to. 🏙️ One major aspect drawing people specifically to Charlotte is the ample job opportunities across diverse industries. Most noticeably, the Queen City has established itself as a major financial hub, hosting the headquarters of prominent banks, including Bank of America and Wells Fargo. Another reason Charlotte has become more attractive is its balanced cost of living, especially compared to other major U.S. cities. Culture and entertainment further add to the CLT experience. The city has a thriving culinary scene, a fun brewery culture, sports enthusiasts can cheer for the Charlotte Hornets and the Carolina Panthers, and nature lovers can explore parks and trails like Freedom Park and the McDowell Nature Preserve (with mountains, lakes and beaches not too far away). . . . 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐝𝐨𝐞𝐬 𝐢𝐭 𝐭𝐚𝐤𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐧 𝐚 𝐛𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐤 𝐜𝐚𝐧𝐯𝐚𝐬 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐨 𝐚 𝐦𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐩𝐢𝐞𝐜𝐞? This morning, I had the privilege of a guided tour of Winfield House in central London, the home of the USA Ambassador to the UK. Winfield House is in Regent's Park which, as all my friends know, is my favourite place in the whole world :-) The tour was led by Stephen Crisp, the Head Gardener who is retiring at the end of this month after 37 years in the role. Winfield House has the second largest private garden in London, second only to Buckingham Palace. Over the last three decades, Stephen has painstakingly transformed the garden at Winfield House from a barren, football pitch-like space into a lush, vibrant haven of mature trees and rich foliage—a space that is both environmentally sustainable and breathtakingly beautiful. Stephen has literally spent years digging and doing the dirty work to lay the foundation for his legacy for generations to come. Listening to him talk about his work, I was struck by his unwavering passion and dedication. His love for gardening is more than a job; it’s a lifelong commitment to nurturing beauty and preserving nature. What I admire most about Stephen is his ability to find joy in the daily grind, transforming every task into a labour of love. His approach reminds me that a fulfilling career isn’t always about titles or climbing ladders but about finding purpose and joy in what you do. Standing amidst the splendour he created, I couldn’t help but feel inspired by his story—a testament to what can be achieved when passion meets perseverance. Stephen’s journey inspires me to stay committed to what I love and reminds me of the power of passion in any career. 𝐖𝐡𝐨 𝐢𝐧𝐬𝐩𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐬 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐭𝐨 𝐛𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐛𝐞𝐬𝐭? 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐥𝐞𝐠𝐚𝐜𝐲 𝐝𝐨 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐰𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐢𝐧 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐟𝐢𝐞𝐥𝐝? Moda GSC is our second project in Birmingham’s Jewellery Quarter after completing works at The Goodsyard. Birmingham is now a strong delivery hub for DNS. With its expanding commercial and residential sectors, the city offers substantial opportunities for growth in the electrical and construction industries. For us, as a London-based electrical contractor, having a presence in Birmingham not only allows us to tap into this dynamic market but also strengthens our ability to serve clients across the Midlands. Establishing a foothold here, as we have, ensures we remain competitive, responsive, and part of the region’s transformative journey. This is key to our purpose of being at the heart of the UK construction industry, of being responsive to our nationwide clients and of learning from the best. It helps that the people are great, too.
Oh hey, Moda, Great Charles Street 😍 Launching next year, the 39-storey tower of our new 722-home neighbourhood in Birmingham is taking shape. In addition to the much-needed new city centre homes, Moda, Great Charles Street will deliver landscaped public realm that creates a new gateway to the city's beautiful Jewellery Quarter, new community utilities and much more. 📸 Thank you Hannah Jones MRICS for the terrific picture!

Great Charles Street coming along nicely! In March 2023, Precede Capital Partners provided a £188 million whole-loan facility to a joint venture between Apache Capital, Harrison Street and NFU Mutual to fund the development of Great Charles Street, a £302 million scheme in the heart of Birmingham which is being developed by Moda. Situated in the historic Jewellery Quarter and spread across three blocks, the development will consist of 722 new apartments and directly address rising demand for BTR options in a local market characterised by structural under-supply. #BTR #Housing #Birmingham
