It seems there is never a dull moment at Transform4Europe. As an alliance of diverse universities across Europe, we aim to cultivate a new generation of knowledge entrepreneurs—individuals who not only acquire knowledge but also have the vision and drive to turn ideas into impactful solutions for society. Our collaboration seeks to transform education, research, and community engagement. As we look ahead to fall 2024, we are excited to share several key developments: Seed-Funding Success: Our first seed-funding call concluded with an overwhelming number of applications, showcasing significant interest within our communities. The selection committee is diligently working to choose and fund the first projects. T4ERI Project Completion: We are close to finalising our T4ERI project, which focuses on building the alliance’s joint agenda for research and innovation. The final event will feature a stakeholder roundtable and the presentation of our white paper in Burgas, Bulgaria. EAIE 2024 Conference: Our alliance has attended the EAIE 2024 conference in Toulouse, France, where we look connected with current and future partners and representatives from other alliances. Strategic Assembly: Our annual Strategic Assembly will take place in October in Katowice, Poland, bringing together representatives from all our partners. Our PhD students have benefited from diverse study offers and short-term mobilities. This summer, T4EU students attended the T4EU Summer School on “Culture at War” in Lisbon and participated in the “(Co)Happiness Laboratory” in Kaunas. In October, another mobility will focus on “Communication for a Better Future” during T4EU week in Katowice. Additionally, our Bachelor students continue to profit from extensive study offerings through Transform4Europe Bachelor Tracks. We’ve achieved much already, with many exciting developments on the horizon! I am thrilled to welcome you to this dynamic platform and our newly launched profile. We aim to broaden discussions on innovation, collaboration, and entrepreneurship that will shape the future of European higher education. 🚀 Breaking News: The FOR-EU4All awarded European funding! We are thrilled to announce the launch of the #FOREU4All project, bringing together over 60 #EuropeanUniversities into a unified Community of Practice. This initiative aims to bring together all current and future #EuropeanUniversities into a unified, cohesive structure. Together, the alliances will foster a collaborative community where best practices and experiences can be shared not only among themselves but also with the broader European Higher Education sector. As key players in the European Education and Research Area, European Universities are pioneering deep transnational cooperation to drive lasting transformation in #HigherEducation. #EUniWell is proud to play a key role in this project, engaging with policymakers to create a supportive environment for transnational collaboration. With a call for a significant increase in research budgets, the Research Matters campaign aims to foster innovation, sustainability, and competitiveness across various sectors such as industry, economy, and social development. We call for: 🔵 Increase in R&D investments, reaching over 3% of the GDP within the European Union and throughout all European countries 🔵 Doubling the budget for the EU’s next research programme, FP10, and protecting that budget by ring-fencing it. 🌍 The European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT) launches a new joint hub in Italy. The EIT Community RIS Hub Italy, located in Milan, serves as a centralised space connecting local stakeholders with Europe’s largest innovation ecosystem. This hub strengthens #collaboration between businesses, educational institutions, and research organisations, while supporting local entrepreneurs and talent in education, business creation, and innovation. This initiative is part of the EIT Regional Innovation Scheme (EIT RIS), designed to bridge Europe’s innovation gap. It also aims to increase the participation of Italian innovators and provide them with networks and resources to turn ideas into impactful solutions. 📍 What does this new hub offer? ▪️ Centralised access to information on EIT programs and services. ▪️ Political and technical support for local authorities. ▪️ Physical spaces for collaboration among innovators, researchers, and entrepreneurs. ▪️ Italy’s hub joins a network of over 20 EIT RIS Hubs across Europe, reinforcing the institute’s commitment to inclusive and sustainable #innovation.

The event's format introduces participants to issues related to the Horizon Europe program, enables them to learn about the Industry Contact Points' offerings, and assists them in finding international partners. As a partner of the Lukasiewicz Research Network, Ekonomikas un kultūras augstskola / EKA University of Applied Sciences participated in the event. The Rector of EKA shared her main insights about collaboration and fostering innovation: ☑️ We have to be brave. We must abandon stereotypes and do things we have never done before. ☑️ The success of research projects and innovation is not always a story about a lack of funding.
