𝐀 𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐥𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐯𝐞, 𝐭𝐨𝐥𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐩𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐞𝐟𝐮𝐥 𝐏𝐚𝐤𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧, 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐥𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐞𝐱𝐜𝐥𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐞𝐱𝐩𝐥𝐨𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 Peace & Justice Network (پیس اینڈ جسٹس نیٹ ورک پاکستان) - PJN under #AawazII programme organised 3-day Training of Trainers to equip district teams from #Punjab as Master Trainers in the Social Cohesion and Tolerance modules to enhance participants’ skills in resolving disputes, promoting tolerance, and fostering long-term behavioural change. The participants gained tools for analysing local issues, stakeholder engagement, and delivering interactive community sessions. Currently in Punjab at community level, Aawaz II works in 10 districts covering Bahawalnagar, Sahiwal, Okara, Toba Tek Singh, Khanewal, Vehari, Hafizabad, Sialkot, Sheikhupura and Sargodha. #AawazII works with local communities to promote the rights of children, women, youth, religious minorities, persons with disabilities and other marginalised groups, to facilitate and strengthen their development. The community component managed by the British Council focuses on providing information referrals, facilitate citizen-state engagement for uptake of services and enhance capacities of local communities for behaviour change to reduce community acceptance of child marriage, gender-based violence (GBV) and intolerance supported by FCDO / British High Commission in Pakistan We extend our best wishes to all the trained participants! #PJNPakistan

At the recent forum hosted by the #AllianceforEducation the discussion focused on the pressing issue of out-of-school children (#OOSC) in Pakistan. #MuslimHands Executive Director Mr. Gillani highlighted alarming statistics from UNICEF and the Government of Pakistan, revealing that 26.2 million children, which constitute 40% of children aged 4 to 16 are still not attending school. This issue extends beyond the Government of Pakistan and demands the collective efforts of all #stakeholders including international and non-governmental organisation’s as well as local communities. #Communityownership and the realization of the importance of education are crucial yet currently lacking. To address this there is a dire need for a comprehensive #strategy and robust guidance. A solid policy #framework is essential, providing clear guidance and protocols to prioritize education and delineate roles and responsibilities among various stakeholders. Several challenges hinder progress, including economic and social barriers.Additionally #climatechange poses a significant threat exacerbating the situation. The #COVID-19 pandemic has also drastically widened the gap in education, further complicating efforts to bring children back to school. 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝘆 𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗡𝗲𝗲𝗱𝘀, 𝗩𝗮𝗹𝘂𝗲𝘀, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗖𝗮𝗽𝗮𝗰𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗴 𝗣𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝗥𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗮𝘃𝗶 𝗠𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 SRCC conducted a study to understand the needs, values, and capacities of young people in Rustavi Municipality. Offering opportunities for education, training, employment and entrepreneurship to people with disabilities is a fundamental human right. “I’ve always actively sought opportunities within my abilities,” says Biryar Aziz Ali. The 37-year-old father of two from Dohuk participated earlier this year in a Cash-for-Work activity, alongside his sister, Rayan Aziz Ali, who translated for him. Biryar was born with hearing and speech impairments. In 2024, Youth Employability Network has completed a comprehensive "Situation Analysis Report," on the “role of the Center of Excellence on countering violent extremism” in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. This vital project is part of the CRA-North initiative, report developed in collaboration with SANJH Pakistan and generously funded by UN-IOM. Our report delves into the current landscape, identifying key challenges and opportunities for peace, social cohesion, employment opportunities and community resilience. By intercepting young women and children before they cross international borders, Every Daughter Matters is able to turn their lives around 180 degrees and lead them back to safety. • Project 180 presentations show how human trafficking is a global issue. • Project 180 presentations help to address toxic masculinity and promote positive alternatives through the work of Every Daughter Matters and similar organisations. • The presentations are best suited for students in years 10 – 12 but can be adapted for younger groups. To address the cultural and social root causes of Gender-Based Violence (#GBV), National Government Affirmative Action Fund (NGAAF) recognizes the critical importance of involving boys and men in the conversation. Launching today, the Ombaka Dimba Tournament will use community football as a platform to integrate sports with anti-GBV education while tackling pressing issues such as drug and substance abuse and insecurity, which often intensify #GBV and hinder community progress. This initiative aims to create a safe space for boys and young men to engage in discussions about positive masculinity, emphasizing respect for and protection of women’s rights.
