Message from the National Youth Federation of Nepal to COP29 As the National Youth Federation of Nepal, we are proud to stand with the youth of the world in advocating for urgent climate action at COP29. This year, we carry with us the spirit of resilience, unity, and hope as we highlight the importance of preserving our planet for future generations. In an extraordinary gesture of commitment to environmental preservation, members of our federation recently took our flag to Tilicho Lake, the highest-altitude lake on Earth. This symbolizes not only the heights to which our youth are willing to go for the planet but also the vulnerability of ecosystems at risk from climate change, especially in the Himalayas. Nepal, like many nations, is experiencing the devastating impacts of climate change — from melting glaciers to extreme weather patterns. As the world gathers in Azerbaijan, we urge leaders to take bold, actionable steps to curb emissions, protect vulnerable communities, and invest in sustainable solutions. The youth of Nepal, and the world, are ready to work alongside you for a better, greener, and more equitable future. Let us not wait for another crisis to act. Together, we can build a future where both people and nature thrive. #YouthForClimate #COP29 #ClimateAction #Nepal #TilichoLake #PreserveOurPlanet #NationalYouthFederationNepal
