#ICIQProjects | Last 30th of January 2024, the #ENRICH project officially started with a kick-off meeting at our facilities.   👥 The ENRICH project is funded by the EU and ICIQ is one of the consortium beneficiaries with the active involvement of Prof. Pablo Ballester’s research group.    🧪 The overall aim of ENRICH is to develop new cost-effective, fast and efficient tools for the enrichment of post translationally modified (PTM) proteins overcoming the current limitation of the state-of-the-art.    ⭐ This is the first time that ICIQ is participating in a project that is a MSCA-Staff Exchange, funding short-term international and inter-sectoral exchanges to develope a collaborative project between different organizations based in Europe and beyond. 🌟 Exciting News Alert! 🌟 🚀 Embarking on a Remarkable Journey I'm thrilled to share that from December 29, 2023, to January 27, 2024, our exceptional team, the "Abstract Alchemists," led by Varun Singh Thakur, in which I, Yashwani Sharma, had the privilege to participate, took part in the prestigious "Symposio," the flagship event of Revelation'24. Despite the challenges of the virtual environment, our team embraced the online format with unwavering determination and enthusiasm. 👨💻 Diverse Expertise, Innovative Thinking Comprised of Varun Singh Thakur (Team Lead), a B.Tech student in Computer Science and Engineering, and myself, Yashwani Sharma, pursuing a B.Sc in Biotechnology, we embodied a unique blend of diverse expertise and innovative thinking. 📝 Navigating Through Rigorous Stages The event unfolded in two intense stages. Initially, we submitted an abstract outlining our groundbreaking research, followed by a comprehensive full paper, showcasing the depth and breadth of our work. 🏆 Securing a Coveted Spot in the Second Round Our submission, titled "Eco Harmony Aqua Revive System: Innovative Approaches to Combat Chromium(VI) Contamination in Aquatic Ecosystems," received accolades and secured a coveted spot in the second round. We are excited to share the highlights from our recent meeting in Beijing with Italian Ambassador Massimo Ambrosetti. This meeting was attended by an esteemed Italian delegation, including representatives from the Fondazione Toscana Life Sciences and the Sino European Center in Shenzhen. During the meeting, we delved into the latest trends in the biotech sector. Aldo Tagliabue, President of Almatech, presented several key projects to Ambassador Ambrosetti and Alessandra Guidi, the Italian Scientific Attaché in China. These projects aim to attract Chinese investments into Europe, particularly highlighting our ongoing collaboration with the Beijing Genomics Institute (BGI), which is expanding globally.
