🔊Last week ONYRIQ was in Newport (UK) at Gurit’s facilities for the 24M internal meeting of the European Commission funded REPOXYBLE project (Depolymerizable bio-based multifunctional closed loop recyclable epoxy systems for energy efficient structures). Our colleagues Mireia Miro Mezquita, Daniel Peral Crespo and Ainhoa Tolentino Chivite, had the chance to meet the members of the consortium and to discuss with Gurit the scale-up of the cleavable hardeners developed in the project for the obtention of chemically depolymerizable epoxy resin systems. This represents an excellent opportunity to transfer the LOOP technology of Onyriq to the industry. 🧪 ➡️ 🏭 (https://lnkd.in/eXKPHjRX) Moreover, our team also had the opportunity to have a tour at their facilities to learn about the manufacturing of epoxy resin systems and prepregs. #sustainability #SSbD #epoxy #recycling #polymers #composites #aeronautic #automotive

What an inspiring day at IFAT worldwide, the world's leading trade fair for environmental technologies. Among the astounding amount of companies, lectures and potential solutions, there were a lot of interesting talks and topics for Teblick: Plastic Constructions & Installations: - Presentations on the treatment and removal of POPs and PFAS from industrial water streams. (contact me to find out how Teblick can help companies and governments to deal with this challenge) - Connecting with our partners and suppliers, such as Henze GmbH (via Profilplast BV), TECNIUM-Casals Cardona Ind. S.A., WDS Welding GmbH and others. - Meeting up with interesting 'problem solvers' like Paques, providing wastewater and biogas solutions worldwide. It's great to see the amount of work, drive and potential there is for furthering environmental technologies and solutions. And even better to know that Teblick: Plastic Constructions & Installations can continue to contribute hereto! 🌍 🚰 ♻ 💪 And of course thanks to Rypens Peter for the great company during the day. #ifat #IFATworldwide #munich #environment #innovation #plastics #environmentaltechnologies

🗞 Actualités adhérents : ▫️CRM Group▫️ 🚀 Spotlight on the InnoPick Project The primary aim of the InnoPick project is to undertake a profound modernization of flat carbon steel pickling lines, making them more sustainable, productive, and flexible while significantly reducing their environmental impact. Currently, pickling lines heavily rely on hazardous products like inorganic acids. 🎯 The ultimate goal of the InnoPick project is to achieve a complete substitution of inorganic acids in pickling lines by combining innovative technologies such as strip preheating, highly turbulent processes combined with the addition of abrasive particles, and the utilization of organic acids. Initiated in July 2023 and scheduled to conclude by the end of December 2026, the InnoPick Project brings together several partners, including Tata Steel Nederland, ArcelorMittal Maizières Research SA, RINA Consulting - Centro Sviluppo Materiali and RINA. As a leader in our field, we're committed to pushing the boundaries of innovation and contributing to a more sustainable future for our industry and our planet. 🌍 Stay tuned for more updates on the progress of the InnoPick project and how it's shaping the future of our operations. #InnoPick #InnoPickProject #Innovation #Sustainability #TechnologicalDevelopment #CRMGroup

These days, I have the pleasure to attend on behalf of IDONIAL Centro Tecnológico to the international galvanizing conference Intergalva 2024, held in Bruges, Belgium. This is an event where the world's main batch galvanising companies, alloy suppliers, industrial equipment, additives, fluxes, ... meet all together for interesting discussion on their business. From the ‘eyes’ of those who we are working on Innovation and R&D projects, it is really curious to see how each different industrial sector sees and understands with a completely different perspective the challenge of decarbonisation, the concept of circular economy, the global situation of steel and other elements such as, in this case, Zinc.

#NPE2024 after a 6 year hiatus has been energizing so far. One trend I’ve observed is the intentional shift to deeply understanding the full carbon impact of materials alongside their safety / toxicity impacts for people and the environment. So it’s been a good opportunity to discuss LCAs and the place bioplastics with measurable biogenic carbon have as we move towards decoupling from fossil-based feedstocks. Stop by the NatureWorks booth (S27193) for coffee & a chat about Ingeo PLA, carbon footprint, & life cycle analysis. 🌱 #bioplastics #sustainability #circularity
Day 2 at #NPE2024 has been a great day to show off Ingeo applications like multi-layered lidding, compostable cups (for water in this sweltering Florida heat!), paper coatings, rigids, and more. Ideas and questions welcome. We'll be back again tomorrow for more! See you at exhibit S27193 👋 Thanks PLASTICS (Plastics Industry Association) for a great show so far. Yes! No Canary's R&D Battery-to-Black Mass Line Recently, we installed this R&D Line for Battery Recyling at an undisclosed research and development facility in Europe. We are sure, that its whereabouts will be published soon, but this will be reserved for our valued customer. We have been asked to design a line with a similar functionality like the one at BLB - Battery LabFactory Braunschweig and iPAT - Institute for Particle Technology (Institut für Partikeltechnik) at Technische Universität Braunschweig, but smaller. Obviously in order to fit better into a lab... but still able to crush whole battery modules - in a vacuum of <5 mbar absolute pressure. You can see the result below. With this line, the researchers can accelerate their development in battery recycling. Fitting into a lab, this line includes vacuum crusher for battery cells and modules (deactivated by No Canary's Zero-Volt-Discharging technology) and our intensive dryer in order to evaporate and condense the volatile organics). Crushing and drying are performed in a vacuum of 5 mbar absolute pressure. This enhances safety, accelarates the drying process, and obviously reduces leakages to a minimum - which is obviously important in a lab as well as in production. Thanks to Benjamin von Loeper, Jonathan Ahrens, Alexander Specht, and the whole No Canary team for making this happen!

🌟 A Breakthrough in AgriPV! 🌟 After years of research and relentless effort, we've finally stabilized luminescent down-shifting dyes in PV encapsulants! These dyes usually degrade and discolour quickly, and earlier protection methods only worked partially or required complex glass-glass modules with butyl edge tapes. Today, we've achieved a milestone: >90% efficiency after 2000 hours of accelerated light aging in a weather-o-meter – and this in a full polymeric module assembly (front sheet – encapsulant – transparent back sheet)! We focused on using down-conversion to boost plant performance by shifting UV light to blue and green light to red. This was made possible by integrating Cascade's proven dye formulations, already successful in greenhouse foils. Incorporating these dyes into solar encapsulants is challenging due to the aggressive chemistry involved, but we did it! We’ve just produced the first AgriPV EVA encapsulant foil at industrial scale. Next step: integrating this foil into AgriPV modules. Stay tuned – the future of AgriPV is looking brighter than ever! This patent-pending technology was co-financed by VLAIO in Flanders. #AgriPV #Innovation #Photovoltaics #Encapsulants #DownConversion #SustainableTech #VLAIO #Collaboration #agrivoltaics #solarfarm #renewableenergy
