As the rapporteur for the revision of the Federal Immission Control Act (BImSchG), Daniel Rinkert dedicates himself to streamlining approval processes for industrial scaling. cylib sees this as a key driver, to successfully bring research-based innovations into German industry. In light of the recent support for cylib from the Ministerium für Wirtschaft, Industrie, Klimaschutz und Energie des Landes NRW through the "Produktives.NRW" multi-million Euro public funding program, this visit reflects the ongoing commitment to the development of sustainable industries in the region. The battery recycling industry offers Europe the unique opportunity to strengthen its strategic independence and global competitiveness in key technologies of the future. Thermo Fisher Scientific has taken a significant step towards sustainable manufacturing by adopting plant-based biobased films for its single-use bioprocessing containers (BPCs). This innovative approach helps eliminate carbon emissions related to plastic resin while maintaining product consistency. The new films, building on their Aegis and CX offerings, have received ISCC PLUS certification for circular and biobased products. Raymond Mercier, President of Thermo Fisher's single-use technologies business, emphasizes that this allows customers to reduce environmental impact without compromising efficiency. Call 2023 results are public: 31 new projects have been funded by Circular Bio-based Europe Joint Undertaking (CBE JU). It is finally official, many #biopeople around Europe can publicly partying after the private celebrations done in February when the invitation for the Grant Agreement Preparation was sent. 31 projects, a huge number, €215 million in a single call- the highest amount of investment ever made in the #biobased sector. Almost 400 beneficiaries from over 30 countries will be at the forefront of the #bioeconomy deployment.
