Ever noticed the impact business collaborations are having on the interconnectedness between the Croatian and Slovenian economies? A recent analysis by PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC Croatia) and the business newspaper Poslovni dnevnik looked at transactions between Croatian and Slovenian companies over the past two decades, focusing on the 30 most significant investments. Mplus's recent investment in Skupina Panvita, a leading Slovenian agri-food company, was prominently featured. As highlighted in a Večernji list article, approximately 15 years ago, both Slovenia and Croatia staunchly prioritized safeguarding their national interests through their respective economies. However, fast forward to the present, and there's a noticeable shift towards recognizing the shared interests of these two smaller economies. Their trade volume, nearing 10 billion euros by 2022, serves as tangible evidence of this evolving relationship. Saša Muminović, President of the SLO CRO Poslovni klub (Business Club), eloquently summed it up: "Our focus is now on harnessing the synergies that two small economies can generate within the broader European market."
