Driving on New Zealand roads after dark can come with it's own set of challenges 🌃 whether you're travelling the countryside or navigating bustling city streets, mastering the art of night driving is essential for a safe and enjoyable journey. Tip #1 - Know how to use your headlights 🔦 Dipping your lights in poor weather and when approaching or following traffic can help you to be seen and avoid blinding other road users. Tip #2 - Fatigue can sneak up on you, especially at night 😴 Drowsiness impairs reaction times, judgment and concentration so take regular breaks and use lane safety assist systems where possible to provide warnings. Tip #3 - Control that accelerator! Roads that seem familiar in the day, can feel very different at night. It can be difficult to judge distance and speed accurately, so it's important to adjust your speed and stay within your lane. Essential Autumn Driving Tips for Truck Drivers: Stay Safe and Prepared on the Roads! 🍂 Autumn brings stunning scenery but also some of the year's toughest road conditions for truck drivers. With October ranked as one of the deadliest months for road incidents, it's crucial to be extra cautious. 🍁 Key Seasonal Challenges: Leaf-Covered Roads: Wet leaves make roads slick, conceal hazards, and demand slower speeds. Foggy Mornings: Use low-beam headlights and allow extra travel time to safely navigate reduced visibility. Frosty Roads: Bridges and shaded areas freeze faster than others; gradual braking helps prevent skidding. Increased Wildlife Activity: Fall means more wildlife near roads, so stay vigilant and avoid swerving. Regular maintenance also plays a big role. Checking lights, tire tread, and brakes will help keep trucks road-ready for autumn’s unique conditions. 🍁Read the full article on our website for all the insights! https://lnkd.in/dCamw6Ph 🍁 Let’s stay safe and enjoy the season responsibly! 🍁 #truckdrivers #autumndriving #roadsafety #logistics #aamnetworkinc
