As you've likely felt, this year's election result has brought uncertainty and concern, putting hard-won progress in equity and climate action at risk. Under the incoming presidential administration, these values will not be a priority, meaning the opportunity to stand together, align our efforts, and build trust in local communities has never been more vital. This #GivingTuesday, we ask for your support to accelerate our work to build a national network that champions equitable, sustainable, and safe transportation for all - and one that outlasts political and institutional support. Over the past decade, SUMC has connected thousands through our summit, published 1,500+ case studies, and assisted 170+ communities. Your support helps us expand this work, equipping communities with the tools they need to drive real, lasting change in mobility, equity, and safety. If you believe in this vision, we ask you to consider supporting our work today, ensuring that progress is not only preserved, but accelerated. Support our work here: https://lnkd.in/g9XU7mrY

Yesterday I was thrilled to attend the Policy Network Conference which was expertly planned and managed by the Impact Policy Network My key takeaways were ensuring we use a mixed economy of options to ensure we capture accurate insights during public consultations. Knowing what people think and feel is important but then effectively managing this input is essential for building trust and creating policies that resonate with and serve our communities. I was particularly inspired by the emphasis on using co-production and early engagement to ensure EDI is central to the work we do. I am eager to apply these insights to my work in local government - focusing on inclusivity, collaboration and community driven approaches to policy making. #PolicyNetwork #LocalGovernment #SocialHousing #PublicEngagement #CoProduction #PublicService
