NEW HOUSING DEVELOPMENTS ANNOUNCED THIS MORNING AT SEATON AND NOARLUNGA..... Large parcels of inner suburban land suitable for development are like gold. With future average households heading towards 2 people per home and up to 25% of all households being single person occupiers these sites provide a great opportunity to be innovative with design options. A mix of family and intergenerational size homes and higher density smaller homes is the way forward. With construction costs at all time high levels and likely to continue increasing an option of some homes being smaller that what we are used to will go some way to achieving our housing targets. In addition not unnecessarily adding to the cost of construction will be critical to the delivery of as many affordable homes as possible.

Mattamy Homes is making a sustainability commitment through various initiatives to minimize its carbon footprint. These include optimizing the building envelope for energy efficiency and cost savings, using geothermal systems for heating and cooling to cut energy use, employing energy recovery ventilators for better air quality, and more.
