At #TransEuropeHalles, the conversation around the #GreenTransition has been in full swing for years, driving ongoing projects, dialogues and actions. 🌍🌎🌏✨ Now, we’re ready to take the first actual steps with our #GET initiative – the Good Enough Transformation, one of our biggest projects. #GET initiative is funded by the Globus Programme of the Nordisk Kulturfond and aims at building a #CommunityOfPractice among project partners, scientific researchers, cultural entrepreneurs and community leaders; the community of practice that unites, exchanges and shares insights, learning and discoveries on the "the just #GoodEnoughTransformation" - the green transition, rooted in the hands-on #local #community-based #sustainable practices in 9 countries across 4 continents: Europe, Asia, Africa and America. Interested? Follow us as we #start sharing insights and calls to action from the ongoing action-#research and #testbeds tapping into: 👨🌾🌽 nature-based agricultural heritage in Mexico City, 🛖🌿 vernacular architecture in Burkina Faso, 🌻🌱 community gardens in Cyprus, ♻️🛞 material transformation testbed in Malaysia & much more. 🌱 #Testbeds (physically happening within the next year on all 4 continents) will be spaces for practical #green transformation - combining traditional local & vernacular knowledge, small creative economies and accessible urban innovations. 🔎 Community-based local practices, as mentioned above, are powerful catalysts for systemic change from the micro-local level that can impact the global scale. While communities in #Mexico, #Cyprus, #BurkinaFaso and #Malaysia can't lead the full green transition alone, they can enact what we like to call a "good enough transformation" (therefore, #GET). So, how about collecting, analyzing and using the already existing knowledge and community-based practices to transform our immediate environment into greener, more sustainable spaces? Let’s keep the momentum going and get the #GET movement rolling 🌍 Stay tuned for more news coming up in the next weeks 💚 BORNEO LABORATORY CULTURANS Gardens of the Future OCAD U INSTITUT FOR (X) LE PLUS PETIT CIRQUE DU MONDE RDTA Studio TAMADIA / Bobo-Dioulasso Trans Europe Halles #GreenTransition #TheGoodEnoughTransformation #SustainableFuture #CreativeCommunities

💡 When it comes to tackling territorial challenges and implementing place-based solutions, experimenting is key. And this is exactly what the Innovative Sustainable Economy Mission aims to do. Committing to work on a number of tools such as Transformative Innovatation Policy Labs. Virtual spaces to align local, regional, national and MED priorities and stakeholders efforts to promote #sustainabledevelopment in the Mediterranean region. On the last day of our #innovationcamp, participants began to familiarise themselves with this concept and think about their desired #TIPLs. People from different countries and backgrounds participated in the hands-on sessions with genuine curiosity. And although it was a bit difficult at first to identify the skills, tools and capacities needed, as they had never been involved in such an exercise before, we had rich discussions and the results were remarkable 👇 Many ideas came up. From the importance of involving the right stakeholders, with facilitators to help them find the right direction. To the need to identify where these processes can add value and create common ground so that TIPLs can be spaces for dialogue and constructive exchange. To the extent of suggesting the combination of a diverse mix of tools such as analysis, peer reviews, study visits, capitalisation of previous results. And much more. It was also interesting the request to devote other spaces to this topic, such as Innovation Camps, which confirmed to us that the open discussions we had during the two days really impressed participants. And even though TIPLs do not yet exist, some of them were already talking about how they could become autonomous mechanisms after the end of the project 🔝 It will certainly take some time to organise all the interesting and stimulating ideas we gathered. For the time being, we are back home full of energy and enthusiasm 🎇 Thank you all so much!
