Water Quality in #aquaculture #fishfarm As Singapore works towards the 30 by 30 goal of building the #agrifood industry’s capability and capacity to sustainably produce 30% of our #nutritional needs locally by 2030, aquaculture has a big part to play. Maintaining a good water conditions and monitor the water quality in real-time are therefore critical when it comes to sustainably producing more fish to achieve our food security goals. The monitoring of water quality data, including #waterhardness, #temperature, #dissolvedoxygen, #salinity, #ammonia and #acidity or #alkalinity levels. Today, let's discuss about the water hardness. Normally, the acceptable water hardness range for aquaculture is 50–150ppm. Then, the ideal water hardness for the freshwater aquariums is about 70–140 ppm depends on the type of fish being raised. It is important to monitor the hardness of water because calcium and magnesium are the two most common elements that contribute to it. Calcium is essential for the development of eggs, bones, and tissues, especially when spawning fish and raising fry. Ansac Technology would like to introduce to you a series of Duromat water hardness analyser which able help you to measure in the range of 0.22 - 534 ppm CaCO3 depends on your requirements. You are welcome to contact me at bryce_lim@ansac-tech.com.sg to further understand more how this equipment able to help you manage your water quality and safeguarding the sustainability in the aquaculture industry.

Aquaculture is attractive enough to invest, but traditional labor-based forms lack investment value. Economic feasibility is guaranteed only when the volume of the sea is used more efficiently. Of course, it must be done in sustainability.
Ecopreneur | Chair | Founder | Investor | TEDx Speaker | Bridging the Gap Between High - Level Investing and Blue Economy Solutions to Tackle Climate Change
It’s an amazing time to invest in the Blue Economy. In 2002, when I started in this sector, most people thought I was crazy. But now aquaculture is the fastest-growing sector for food production and will remain so for at least the next two decades. Aquaculture produces more than 230 billion dollars of fish and shellfish annually. By 2030, consumption of farmed fish will rise to nearly two-thirds of our total seafood consumption.
