I’m really excited to see this important initiative come to life. Pakistan produces approximately 49.6 million tonnes of solid waste annually, with around 9% comprising plastics like single-use bags, packaging, and cutlery. Sadly, 70% of plastic waste is mismanaged, contributing to severe environmental issues, including along our coastline where 65% of waste is plastic. Looking forward to the positive changes this project will bring in tackling plastic pollution, protecting marine life, and promoting the circular economy. Zero Waste Hero: Green City Mehsana.💚 We're currently running a CSR project with ONGC Mehsana called "Zero Waste Hero: Green City Mehsana."Together, we're making significant strides towards creating a greener, more sustainable Mehsana. 🏫 Engaging with the Community: So far, we've reached out to over 5 schools, 5 colleges, 5 societies, and even a village in Mehsana. Our aim is to educate and inspire individuals of all ages about the importance of waste management. 🚓 Waste Awareness Session with SRPF Colony: Our recent session with the SRPF colony in Mehsana was a resounding success! We had the pleasure of engaging with a diverse audience, including young kids, mothers, and police officers along with their teams. 🌍 Tackling Growing Waste Challenges: Mehsana, like many growing cities, faces increasing waste challenges. During our session, we shed light on how these challenges are impacting health, contributing to climate change, and harming the environment. 🎭 Making a Serious Issue Engaging: To make the discussion more interactive and engaging, our "Nukkad Natak" team presented the issue in a satirical manner. It was incredible to see how humor can amplify the message of environmental responsibility. 🌟 Inspiring Future Generations: One of the most rewarding moments was witnessing the enthusiasm of young minds eager to learn about technology and the 3Rs (reduce, reuse, recycle). Their eagerness to make a difference gives us hope for a brighter, greener future. Together, we're proving that small actions can lead to significant change.
