DTB: ARE YOU DIRECTOR MATERIAL? Think of a movie set... Where is the director? Are they in front of the camera? Or behind it? Directors call the shots. They set the scenes. They put people to work. Similarly, the person conducting the orchestra creates beautiful music, yet doesn't lift or play a single instrument. Many people in business are too busy working 'in' it. Instead of working 'on' it. Big difference. Let's discuss... #downtobusiness

More artists should lean in to creating multiple versions and remixes of songs they believe in. Every time you release a new version or remix, you give your single a new opportunity to reach new listeners and bring awareness to the original song. For example, “FOREVER” by the rotating collective I founded, Vince & The Valholla Empire featuring ADN Lewis has over 10 versions (not including instrumentals) has over 400K on demand streams and a number of versions have been featured on editorial playlists. Every time we release a new version it gets new life. This strategy might not be a fit for every song but you should implement it in one way or another. What is the highest number of versions you’ve released for a song you believed in? #musinbusiness #recordingartists
