It’s been 3 months since I joined Blinkit Central Operations team and working in the Longtail stores where we deliver everything from electronics to apparel in under 30 minutes has been an intense and rewarding ride. Every day is a new challenge—one that could make or break the customer experience. Imagine: You’re all set to make a delivery, and then—last-mile strike by riders. Or the store’s packed to the brim during a festival, and you’re racing against the clock to optimize storage.m Then there’s right manpower planning, making sure we have the right hands on deck when things get crazy. It’s chaos. But it’s the kind of chaos that teaches you how to stay cool under pressure and solve problems on the fly. Every day is a problem to solve, and every solution brings us closer to delivering the perfect experience to a customer. Ultimately, I decided it was time to prioritize stability and growth. Sheetal, we’ve been through so much, and I want to reaffirm my full support and best wishes for you to take UpTroop to new heights! 🚀💪 Reflecting on my time as a founder, I’m incredibly proud of the learning, growth, and resilience this journey taught me. I just wrapped up slides for our final team meeting of the year - good time to pause and reflect on the past 12 months. We’re far from "making it," but our ambitions at Omni are only growing. (We’re hiring, come build with us!) One big takeaway this year: Startup growth = (Great product + Great distribution) x Strong team Here’s what I’ve learned: 📦 Great product, weak distribution? You’re stuck with founder-led growth, and that doesn’t scale. 🚚 Great distribution, weak product? It might spark conversations, but conversions will lag, and churn will catch up. I’m starting to see that the real edge comes from having both, and amplifying it with a team that moves in sync and pulls beyond their own weight. Grateful to be on this journey with such a solid crew. And this isn’t said enough, huge credit to Brian Ip for his vision and hustle. Still so much to learn, and I’m looking forward to the challenges ahead 🙏

Wow. What a week. 😅… First Optoro joins the list of amazing companies on Fast Company’s Most Innovative companies. Talk about being proud of my company! Meanwhile, I’m at #shoptalk with thousands of other #retail professionals talking about innovation, returns, customer expectations and more! A few takeaways: 1. Face to face conversations are so fun. Shoptalk owns the market when it comes to show management. 2. Everyone ❤️s returns. (Just kidding) returns are still threatening everyone’s profitability and while free returns are great, a holistic returns strategy is critical. 3. Returns continue to lack central ownership. I talked with store ops folks, merchandisers, Omni leaders, finance, and supply chain leaders — and they ALL “feel the burn of returns™️”. More brands and #3PLs are starting to take returns more seriously. (A big 3PL is now creating an entirely new division for returns) 4. Retail and supply chain is a smallll world. Be kind. Do the right thing. If you have an awkward situation, address it and move forward. Repair always wins. ❤️🩹 5. My colleague, Gene, has the most random, best food spots to try in Las Vegas. Thanks for the recs and ordering :) 6. Sneakers at a trade show is a much better idea than heels. #justdoit Grateful for another week doing what I love.
