One of the many valuable lessons I learned from the #DMIP program by Girls in Marketing, aside from the wealth of knowledge and experience shared by the tutors, is the importance of engaging your audience. Throughout the sessions, I noticed every tutor using various methods to keep the audience actively involved—whether it was through millimeter polls, prompts like “let me know in the Slack channel,” or remarks about how the channel was buzzing with feedback. It worked brilliantly in a video-based training setting. Then I thought, how can I bring this level of engagement to my text-based newsletter? Enters Substack: Hold my cup 👇🏾 I love this feature because of the high response rate—it shows me that people aren't just passively reading, they're actively interacting with my content.
