I am so honored and delighted at Figad Multibusiness smc Limited Uganda to attend the AFRICA WASTE IS WEALTH II: Accelerating Sustainable Green Initiatives and Highlighting East Africa's Plastic Policy Ambitions. Our participation has significantly contributed to the ongoing efforts to promote sustainable practices and support regional Plastic Policy Advancements in East Africa. The sessions attended included, 1- Exploring opportunities for community engagement in the integrated waste management. 2- Thinking outside the sink: Driving sustainable organic pollution-control strategies through trade. 3- The role of Plastic Credits and Outcomes-Based Financing in National EPR and waste Regulations in East Africa. 4- Introduction to the Draft EAC SUP BILL and Waste Management Regulatory Framework.

Media Advisory: Korea-Africa High-level Forums on #ClimateFinance and #Plastics Sustainability The Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI) will host two High-level Forums on the sidelines of the upcoming Korea-Africa Summit. The two Forums, set to be held on June 4, will discuss two themes critical to Africa’s growth and resilience: access to green, climate finance and addressing plastic pollution through concerted global efforts.  These Forums offer a platform to showcase the symbiotic Korea-Africa partnership opportunities, grounded in GGGI’s rich experience. Discussions will focus on themes critical to both Africa and Korea, including Climate Smart Agriculture, Food Security, forest restoration, agroforestry, Nature-Based Solutions, Carbon Transaction Facilities, GreenPreneurship, and advanced waste management. 📢 Public Comment Period Now Open! 🌍 Every project seeking to register in a Verra standards program undergoes a 30-day public comment period. The public comment periods for the projects listed here opened during the week of August 26. This week's listing includes projects seeking registration and/or verification in the Plastic Waste Reduction, Verified Carbon Standard (VCS), and the Climate, Community and Biodiversity Standards (CCBS) Programs. The projects are located in various geographic regions, including Pakistan, India, and the Tanghe region of China. To achieve a transition towards more sustainable hemodialysis, new concepts of wastewater treatment are needed. In hemodialysis, wastewater should be seen as a resource, that can provide fit-for-purpose water, energy, nutrients, and carbon emission savings. In our country, Morocco we are working on an innovative integreted model for sustainable circular economy in hemodialysis units. Establishing a circular resource flow can help alleviate water scarcity and generate additional revenue.
