The new capaign of WWF on Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO) is a must see for that product exacerbated by prejudices. Prejudicies have a hard skin and we often have a tendency to reach conclusions without considering what could be done to do things better. Since two years, Impact Finance is proudly finances RSPO palm oil in Colombia! It represent not only a great opportunity for local communities but also for the nature to regenerate! Poligrow Colombia S.A.S in Mapiripan has brought legal work opportunities, access to energy, connectivity, education, economic stability in addition to effective use of soils, biodiversity recovery, regnerated soils and carbon sequestration. #impactinvesting #impactfinance #positiveimpact #SDGfinancing #responisblefinance #sustainablefinance #regenerativebusiness #RSPO #sustainablepalmoil #responsibleagriculture #regenerativeagriculture #colombia Carlo Vigna Taglianti Fabián Andrés Martínez Pacheco Alfredo Carvajal Juliana Botero Fedepalma

Sustainability is about striving to do things better. We have received so many critics when we decided to finance 🌴Poligrow Colombia S.A.S two years ago, how many time haven't we heard the motto "Palm oil is not sustainable" or "Palm oil cannot be sustainable". Sustainability is a way of doing thing, before beeing a decree or a concept or a prejudice. Along with Poligrow we have witnessed how the plantation of palm oil has been transformational in Mapiripan, a community oppressed two decades ago by guerillas dedicated to narcotraffic. In every aspect the community has been enhanced thanks to a better connectivity, access to energy, to legal work, economic vitality, education as well as the nature thanks to a very conscious and responsible agriculture focused on better use of the land, regenerating the soils and recovering the biodiversity. Colombia has gradually become the first producer of palm oil in Latin America with numerous very interesting experiences focused on sustainability, similar to the one of Poligrow. The RSPO initiative supported by the WWF, represents a strong opportunity to trace the sustainable oil along the value chain and to create an alternative comodity. Impact Investing is all about accompanying the change towards a more sustainable future. #impactinvesting #impactfinance #positiveimpact #SDGfinancing #responisblefinance #sustainablefinance #regenerativebusiness #RSPO #sustainablepalmoil #responsibleagriculture #regenerativeagriculture #colombia Carlo Vigna Taglianti Fabián Andrés Martínez Pacheco Alfredo Carvajal Juliana Botero Fedepalma DAABON https://lnkd.in/e3dHx3QA
