🚨 Strengthening your hamstrings might not be the full solution! Here's why: 👉 Your pelvis plays a huge role in hamstring health since that’s where the hamstring attaches. If your pelvis isn’t moving smoothly, no amount of hamstring strengthening will fix the issue. ✅ Instead, focus on making sure your hips are moving properly and your pelvis is aligned. If you're in an anterior pelvic tilt, your hamstrings are in a constantly stretched position, leading to strain. 💡 Core and glute work can help correct pelvic alignment, reducing pressure on your hamstrings. Don’t forget, your glutes should be doing the heavy lifting, with the hamstrings assisting! If your hamstrings are overworked, it’s time to strengthen those glutes! Want more tips? 🥰 Home massage 🥰 Cruciate injuries are very common in dogs so here’s a tip that might help relieve soreness in your pet. It’s simple, effective & involves some gentle work into important muscle groups in the upper thigh region to relieve muscle pain. Apply gentle pressure through flat fingers. Your dog should be relaxed at all times. Check with your vet before trying this one at home. Save for later 💾 - - - #caninemassage #caninemassagetherapy #doghealthtips #caninephysicaltherapy #caninephysio #caninephysiotherapy #hamstrings #petphysio #quads #massagetherapy @mariadiakonidis

⭐️ Be ahead ⭐️ Sadly the signs of pain in dogs often go un-noticed by guardians. Not because of neglect. Simply because many owners haven't encountered the right type of information about how to understand pain and how to prevent mobility decline in dogs. I have designed an online course for those of you who cant access me in person but want to adopt my proactive approach to your dogs joint health and wellbeing from the comfort of your home. The course content will help you: 👉🏼 Identify pain in your dog 👉🏼Understand anatomy, posture and form 👉🏼Understand the early signs of osteoarthritis 👉🏼 Alleviate tension in the main muscle groups 👉🏼 Understand strength & how to monitor it 👉🏼Build strength with targeted exercises 👉🏼Ensure your dog has better mobility for longer If you think your dog is slowing down, take action sooner rather than later. And choose to educate yourself more about this sort of stuff to help your dog avoid unnecessary problems when they're older. That is my aim for you and your dog. There is an amazing array of things we can do to keep our dogs in good shape 🙌🏼💜🐾 Comment COURSE if you're ready to be a step ahead with your dogs musculoskeletal health. - - - #knowledgeispower #alwayslearning #caninewellness #seniordogsofig #seniordoglove #caninephysio #olddog #loveourdogs #proactivehealth #preventativehealth #olddogsrule #seniordogs
