🌱 “My field is different from others,” she tells. “In my fields, I grow cotton, but I also grow mangoes and green gram. In three years, the trees will give me my first mangoes.”   This story moved me. Meet Gandam Venkatavva, a dedicated farmer from Telangana, who begins her day at 5:30 AM, balancing household chores and farming tasks until 9 PM. Her goal? To create a sustainable and thriving farm despite facing challenges of unpredictable weather, degraded soil, and pest attacks. Venkatavva is not alone in this journey. With the support of WWF and IKEA, farmers across #Telangana are adopting regenerative agriculture practices, resulting in enhanced biodiversity and stronger community resilience.   ✅ Today, 21,891 farmers are implementing these practices on 16,756 hectares of cotton fields, improving soil health and increasing soil organic carbon by almost 40%.   ✅ With the support of WWF and IKEA, whose longstanding partnership spans over 20 years, learning and scaling sustainable practices, local farmers have been able to plant 1.14 million trees with an impressive 71% survival rate.   ✅ In the young plantations created as part of the project, wildlife is already finding refuge.
