Did you know that JUMO is one of 71 certified B Corps in Africa? And one of only 11 in South Africa! Globally, there are over 8,000 certified B Corps. But what does it mean to be a B Corp? Certified B Corporations, or B Corps, are companies verified by B Lab to meet high standards of social and environmental performance, transparency, and accountability. B Corps measure their impact across five areas: Community, Customers, Environment, Governance, and Workers. The Africa B Corp community is growing faster than ever. Last week, Faiza Devji attended B Lab Africa 's Sustainable Futures Forum held in Johannesburg. It was an informative event with discussions around what it means to be a purpose-driven business and how companies can achieve profit for purpose and drive positive change within African economies. 'It was very insightful to attend this event and to hear from other companies on the continent that are driving change for good.
