🏡It was once said that the number that has the biggest impact on your life is the zip code you are born into. Although this statement may be true, we believe that it should not prevent someone from reaching their God-given potential. 💡After years of work we have identified four key areas of support that have the biggest impact on our brothers and sisters across the sea; ✅Ministry ✅Humanitarian ✅Marketplace ✅Crisis response This holistic approach allows for a long-term, sustainable impact.

The global risks posed by health inequity, food insecurity, energy access, climate change and protracted crises are growing at an exponential rate, resulting in severe hardships for marginalized populations. Market-driven models hold the promise of providing lasting solutions that uplift people out of poverty, rather than providing immediate but often temporary relief to its symptoms. We were today honoured to be joined by Julieta Valls Noyes (Assistant Secretary PRM, U.S. Department of State), Marie-Laure Akin-Olugbade (Vice-President, African Development Bank Group), Minhaj Chowdhury (CEO, Drinkwell), and Mihir Shah (CEO, UE LifeSciences), for a conversation moderated by Mirek Dusek (Managing Director, World Economic Forum), to learn about existing solutions that are creating lasting impact on the world's most vulnerable communities. 🎞 Watch the session here: https://lnkd.in/dNNiMsxp #SDIM24 #HRI #impactinvesting Andrej KirnDiego HakspielMarianna LilloFrederik TeufelElizabeth CampbellEfrem GarlandoJames PurcellAlexandros Pamnani

Impact measurement is a crucial skill that requires constant updating. I recently completed the Social Impact course at the Social Policy Institute, Washington University in St. Louis. The course's broad concept extends beyond social impact, making it applicable to various situations and contexts. #ImpactMeasurement #SocialImpact #ProfessionalDevelopment

When I first started discussing the need for African businesses to be more impact-driven, focusing on people and the planet, one of the challenges I faced was ensuring I sounded authentic. In a world where buzzwords are rampant and many push agendas for ulterior motives, it can be difficult to distinguish between those genuinely seeking change and those seeking personal gains. Having worked with several small businesses over the years, I believe businesses hold significant potential to create positive change within our communities. Let me share examples of two companies I have worked with that exemplify this: Company A: An educational center that teaches children how to garden. By integrating fun and interactive activities, they impart valuable lessons on environmental preservation. This hands-on approach not only educates children about the importance of sustainable practices but also instills a love for nature and a sense of responsibility towards the environment. Company B: This is a digital cooperative for farmers that is developing an innovative app. This app provides farmers with a unique opportunity to collaborate and form synergistic partnerships with other farmers, regardless of location. By facilitating resource sharing, knowledge exchange, and collective problem-solving, The company aims to empower farmers and enhance agricultural productivity across the region. I encourage African companies to consider the social good they can do and challenge themselves to be more impactful. Let's harness the power of business to create a lasting impact and make a difference.

12. The next step is to gather broad political support for the economic transformation There is already growing support for action to stop current trends. And emerging initiatives like Wellbeing Alliance, Green Deal, New Deal Ecological Civilization. The need now is to scale up a major advocacy and public campaign to drive the conversation on economic systems change and open up policy windows. Earth4All will do its bit.

Paving the path toward sustainable change starts with ensuring the communities, organizations, and institutions we work with are in the driver’s seat and at the heart of interventions. Through time-tested results-driven approaches, including iDARE, we bring all perspectives to the table - including local stakeholders and vulnerable and marginalized groups - to co-create tools, resources, and solutions that drive real change that benefits everyone, including individuals who are far too often excluded. #SustainableChange #InstitutionalSupport #TechnicalAssistance #LocallyLedChange
