I’ll just put this here and we can talk about it. Whether we want people to work onsite or from home, is irrelevant. There’s a growing loss of productivity in part due to a gradual decline in human interaction in the professional setting. A loss of comfort in knowing how to and being willing to engage and collaborate especially in person. It’s not about whether people want to and are capable of working from home, it’s about a loss of human interaction skill that may now be impacting performance due to the work from home environment. As leaders how are you helping your teams be at their best no matter where they work from?

Any good leader watches and understands the impacts of their words and actions. As you increase your emotional intelligence level, this becomes more natural and second nature. ☘ People naturally have varying innate levels of emotional intelligence, but it is a skill that can (and should) be learned and elevated. I love this quote! It can be challenging to be self-aware. I work hard at this and yet sometimes still lose myself to bad habits and behaviors that don’t serve me well. I think it’s so incredibly important to always be mindful of the things we say and how we treat others-particularly those we lead! Whether that’s a team, yourself, or your family-everyone is a leader on some level. If you have times where you struggle with this like I do, continue to develop your Emotional Intelligence. You will be surprised at the difference it will make for you and for those you lead

Thoughts on Leadership and Team Cohesiveness If you are a leader of people and you do not have a clear understanding of what gets them up in the morning and why they do what they do. You need to take your next 1:1 and have that conversation because that will have a bigger impact on performance than talking about the next deal or project. If your conversations with your team are staff meetings (information dumps) and the same impact could have been accomplished with an email, don't have the meeting. The should be for each person on your team to have an actionable takeaway that can make them better. Create that cohesiveness and glue with each person it will get you the highest level of ROI when you engage and listen to your employees. You work for them, they do not work for you. All it takes is a conversation.

Yesterday a colleague and I got onto the subject of team support and trust .. Does it takes more than the leader role modelling the way and creating the environment? Does it also take all those who hear the thoughts of other to be respectful of different perspectives and to assess from a team outcome perspective? Does safety diminish quickly as perspectives get shut down, acknowledged but then ignored, are retold elsewhere out of context and then misunderstood? When did we start talking about safe vs toxic behaviours at work? We are all human #bekind #berespectful #besupportive make sure group think is progressive, get more from the group!

As leaders, are we truly communicating effectively with our teams? In this quick video, I break down why one-size-fits-all communication often falls flat, especially in diverse teams. Here's the key takeaway: people process information differently, and great leaders adapt their style accordingly. Why does this matter? ▶️It boosts productivity: When information is conveyed in a way people understand best, tasks get done more efficiently. ▶️It increases engagement: Team members feel valued when their communication preferences are considered. ▶️It fosters inclusion: Adapting your style shows you recognize and appreciate cognitive diversity. This approach is particularly beneficial for neurodivergent team members, but it creates a better work environment for everyone. What's your go-to method for ensuring your message is understood by your entire team? Share your tips in the comments! #EffectiveCommunication #InclusiveLeadership #NeurodiversityAtWork

Excessive micromanagement can have a negative impact on motivation and engagement among team members. When employees feel that their every move is being scrutinized, they lose trust in their leaders and become less motivated to go above and beyond. This leads to decreased productivity and a general lack of enthusiasm. Micromanagement can have profound negative effects on a team's ability to perform optimally. By implementing clear communication, trust-building, and empowerment strategies, new teams can overcome underperformance and achieve better results. It is crucial for leaders to create a supportive and empowering environment that encourages creativity and collaboration, allowing team members to reach their full potential. #havefaithinyourteammemebers #sharedgoals #Motivate

This is an amazing example of how leadership of any company can foster an employee centric environment while at the same time increasing customer satisfaction and performance. What is the old saying “happy partner, happy life.” The same philosophy works between employers and employees. This is something that alot of companies should be utilizing as it is a win win all around.
