I enjoy listening to a variety of podcasts, both in French and English. One podcast I especially appreciate for its North American business-focused perspective is Learning Out Loud. The episode I listened to today on my way home from work was about 'The Purple Cow,' written by Seth Godin. (I have the book but haven't had the chance to read it yet, although I devoured 'This is Marketing,' which I read again from time to time.) ✨Seth Godin is an exceptional marketing expert, and in this particular episode, the focus is on transforming our businesses by being remarkable. Only remarkable products get discussed, and they use the brilliant example of Apple's recent launch, the Apple Vision Pro headset. Apple has always been synonymous with design excellence. Recently, they released just one headset (Apple Vision Pro), while Oculus (now Meta) has been producing headsets for 10 years with numerous product releases, yet none got as much attention as Apple's single headset. Apple prioritizes design, making their product remarkable, and they tell a compelling story, as they have done consistently with their products. 🚀However, Apple's competitors may benefit from Apple's ability to generate interest in a product category that might not be entirely new to the market, but becomes newly compelling due to Apple's attention. 🪄The key takeaways from this podcast episode are: - Average is not acceptable. - Create something remarkable; be the Purple Cow that stands out. - Avoid creating 'me too' products. - Begin by identifying your audience; start with a few, and the rest will follow. #marketing #brandmarketing #AppleVisionPro #Apple #SethGodin #LearningOutLoud #MixedReality

In the latest episode of "Conversation with Roberto," we're joined by none other than the Design Rockstar Robert Brunner – the mind behind Beats by Dre and a maestro of turning the ordinary into the iconic. And founder of the Design Studio Ammunition. Here are three whispers from the show: 1. 𝗡𝗮𝗿𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗣𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿: Behind every design, there's a story waiting to be told. Stories aren't just told; they're designed. Craft yours with intention. 2. 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝗢𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗳𝗼𝗿𝘁: The path to remarkable is paved with the stones of risk. Comfort zones are the most dangerous place for creativity. 3. 𝗘𝗺𝗽𝗮𝘁𝗵𝘆 𝗶𝘀 𝗘𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴: Design is a dialogue, not a monologue. Understanding the unspoken needs of others is where true innovation begins. Dive into this riveting conversation where design meets humanity, and let's challenge the status quo together. #Innovation #DesignThinking #ConversationWithRoberto #podcast https://lnkd.in/eKUmGrfB

It was awesome chatting with Will Hall about design. Have a listen to this week's episode of Fail Hard. #industrialdesign #design
In this week's episode of Fail Hard, I sat down with acclaimed industrial designer Scott Henderson for a conversation about design, intuition, and the creative process. Scott shares insights into the role of subconscious creativity, the importance of "trapped energy" in great design, and how fun and joy should never be overlooked in the design process. I thoroughly enjoyed our chat. Perhaps you will as well. Fail Hard is created in conjunction with ByDesign TV with production support from Martin Nayeri. Sponsored by Adobe. Chuffed to announce a new podcast series - Thinking Differently About Lighting🎧 I've been thinking for ages about how to bridge the gap between new scientific evidence and the real world decisions that lighting professionals make every day: what would it take to risk stepping beyond the default 'business as usual' and think differently about lighting. The brilliant Professor Kevin Houser generously agreed to co-curate a series of ten 20-minute episodes, each in conversation with a leading scientist in the field. We pitched the idea to the Get A Grip On Lighting Podcast team to support with production and distribution and even found a sponsor - the NASA spin-off BIOS Lighting - to cover costs. Each episode covers a key topic - visual comfort, mood, light after dark, sleep, different approaches to measurement... we'll talk about the science but bring it back to the practical implications for design, specification, installation and regulation. I've just started recording this week. The first will launch on the 21st of November, then a break for Thanksgiving, then every Thursday. Will share the links and content with you here of course. We're already thinking about a follow-up series focusing on real world examples. I'd love to hear any ideas and suggestions - please fire them across! The episodes will be released on the Get a Grip on Lighting Podcast. Search Get a Grip on Lighting on your podcast app, or Youtube go to www.getagriponlighting.com and look for the episodes called Thinking Differently about Lighting. #ageoflighting #lighting #podcast #lightfacts
