I am pleased to see the subject of apprenticeships move up the Government’s agenda. I have not only been banging this drum for a long time, but at Focus SB Ltd we have put our money where our mouth is and have invested in several apprentices over the last few years, some of whom are full time skilled employees and others are still in their apprenticeships (4 in total) and collectively they make up a significant proportion of our total workforce and we are always looking to add to these numbers! UK manufacturers need to invest in future skills if we are to continue with our impressive standing in world rankings and the valuable contribution UK manufacturing makes to our GDP. #ukmfg #apprenticeships
