This cutting-edge facility converts 90,000 tons of non-recyclable waste, wood waste, and SRF into 300,000 MWh of renewable energy annually, enough to heat 24,000 homes and support local manufacturers. By reducing landfill use and avoiding 50,000 tons of CO₂ emissions per year, BIOSYNERGY aligns with France's Energy Transition for Green Growth Act and its 2050 carbon neutrality target. The SRF fuel is prepared locally at SUEZ’s TriNergy site in Rogerville, exemplifying circular economy principles. “This flagship project showcases how we can create value from waste for the benefit of the region and its people,” said Sabrina Soussan, CEO of SUEZ. Vauban Infrastructure Partners echoed this sentiment, emphasizing the importance of public-private cooperation in advancing sustainability initiatives. BIOSYNERGY marks a significant step in Normandy's energy transition, reducing reliance on fossil fuels while promoting local solutions for a greener future.
