It was opportunity for Wilo to share Wilo’s Project execution to save more than 77 % Energy Savings related to 150 installed Wilo’s Pumps with 15 months return on investment on Veolia’s EPC (Energy Performance Contract) reference in Czech Republic. This groundbreaking move seeks to replace a third of all new truck sales with zero-emission alternatives, marking a significant leap towards cleaner air and a healthier planet 🌿🌎. Harnessing the power of poo… no really! 💩 We’re transforming waste into warmth with a groundbreaking project in partnership with Severn Trent and HORIBA MIRA Thanks to funding from the Ofwat Innovation Fund, we’re developing a system to capture waste heat from sewers and use it to heat homes and businesses, cutting bills and reducing carbon emissions. With UK water companies treating 11 billion litres of wastewater daily, there’s a potential to unlock around 400 TWh of renewable heat—enough to warm 33 million homes! Our project will debut the UK’s first in-sewer wastewater heat recovery system at Horiba MIRA’s technology park in Warwickshire. This testbed will help shape a more sustainable utilities sector, expanding these networks across England and Wales.
