Exploring the Future: A Year of Pioneering Events

Future of Fashion | February

We kicked off our Futures Series, and London Fashion Week, with the Future of Fashion, where over 250 industry insiders came together to discuss how the fashion sector is adapting to environmental challenges and consumer demands. With groundbreaking discussions on bio-based materials like mycelium and banana husks, the event inspired solutions that align with the vision of a Net Zero, Nature Positive fashion industry by 2040. Huge thanks go to Claudine Rousseau , Dean of London College of Fashion, who expertly led discussion with Founder of GreenWith Studio MARY FELLOWES , Simon Platts - Founder of Recommerce Group and ex ASOS.com and Nicholas Davies now Head of Climate Policy at the Green Alliance .

Future of Cities | April

In a rapidly urbanising world, the Future of Cities event tackled the challenges of sustainable urban development. Hosted at Sustainable Ventures in London, it explored the intersection of design, governance, and community. Experts Daniel Raven-Ellison (Founder of National Park City , and Kalpana Arias - Founder of Nowadays On Earth shared insights on how to create inclusive, resilient cities that prioritise public health and environmental sustainability.

Forum Series: Connecting Business Solutions with Impact Investment

This year, we hosted two Forum events, each designed to connect high-growth, purpose-driven businesses with the funding they need to scale their solutions.

25-26 June 2024

Our first Forum, held as a flagship event of London Climate Action Week , welcomed 40 high-growth, high-impact businesses collectively seeking £185 million in investment to exhibit and pitch to more than 250 impact investors. The event also presented a full two-day programme themed around specific sectors and the Sustainable Development Goals. Sectors covered included energy, water, consumption and production, the built environment, food, climate, and nature.

3-4 December 2024

Building on the momentum and success of our June flagship event, the December Forum convened another 30 innovative, high-impact businesses collectively seeking £138 million in investment. Over 200 investors attended, eager to foster meaningful change and scale solutions that address pressing global challenges.

Once again, the Forum’s carefully curated format, uniting panel discussions focused on key sectors and Sustainable Development Goals with concise founder pitches, proved instrumental. This approach not only highlights emerging opportunities across various industries but also facilitates tangible connections, ensuring that every conversation contributes to shaping a more sustainable future.

Blue Earth Summit 2024: Reconnecting the Working World

The highlight of the year was, of course, Blue Earth Summit in October. Set against the backdrop of the River Thames, this three-day gathering of 4,500 attendees redefined what it means to connect purpose-driven businesses, investors, and thought leaders.

Being at Blue Earth Summit has shown me how much inspiration I can gain from those around me. Seeing so many passionate people working towards real solutions gives me hope and motivates me to continue driving positive change.
