Book Series

I read a lot, well I used to read a lot, I have for the last couple of years picked up that habit again with pleasure.

Some really interesting concepts and much food for thought, this habit is serving to me. I would like to share some of the discoveries that it has triggered.

No two persons ever read the same book. – Edmund Wilson

This ‘Book Series’ post is a place for the books that I recommend for future reading with some of the thoughts and ideas that it has sparked, without much of a spoiler alert.

I also have to be careful, there is Japanese word that explains well why: Tsundoku

It means buying books and letting them pile up unread. The word dates back to the very beginning of modern Japan, the Meiji era (1868-1912) and has its origins in a pun. Tsundoku, which literally means reading pile, is written in Japanese as 積ん読. Tsunde oku means to let something pile up and is written 積んでおく

So I have been working (happily) through some of those and others, which I hope to share with you in the upcoming weeks.

I’m sure there are more and I’d be quite interested to hear your suggestions! I hope you enjoy the series and it serves well.

Some great titles. I haven't read The 4 Hour Work Week but I've heard a lot about it. I am currently reading Moorish Spain by Richard A. Fletcher. Fascinating.
