Do Your Best, You Know?

You can only ask people to do their best.

That's it. Do your best.

One of the things I have realized in my last 2.5 years leading Guide is that everyone that you work with is just doing their best.

Whether it be the teammates you work with,

the outside partners you collaborate with, or even you as an operator or leader.

We are all doing our best.

Our capacity to do more or go "the extra mile" is always there, of course, but no matter what, we are all doing our best.

When I was in high school and college, I got a few C's and I even recall getting a D in one or two assignments, and maybe an F in one or two assignments.

I definitely sucked at standardized testing.

Standardized tests still don't make any sense to me, till this day.

Never the less, in every situation, I did my best.

I performed at my given best.

Even when I fail, I did my best.

When we succeed, we do our best.

Realize that on any given day, your "best" may look "different".

But no matter what, give every day your best shot.

Do your best

and you will never "fail". You know?
