Welcome to this month's edition of Embrace the News.
If you've been following me and Embracing Nutrition for a while, you may be familiar with my story. The person who has challenged me more as a parent and as a practitioner is my eldest daughter. She was diagnosed with her first autoimmune disease at just 2 years old and was put on a chemotherapy drug within the first year.
Her health has been a roller coaster. It is because of this that I found functional medicine. She is my biggest coach, always making me ask the 'Why' question.
Well, I couldn’t have been a prouder parent as I watched her graduate with a first-class honours degree in biochemistry last week. She is an inspiration to me and to anyone whose life has been so impacted by autoimmune disease. It can get better and you can achieve amazing things.
